Trading Floor Official Analyst – MIAX Sapphire Options Exchange

The MIAX Exchange Group (“MIAX”) of Miami International Holdings, Inc. (MIH) is currently looking for a dynamic individual to join the MIAX Regulatory Department as a Trading Floor Official Analyst for the MIAX Sapphire Options Exchange located in Miami, FL.

Role Description, Responsibilities and Duties

The candidate must possess a detailed understanding and knowledge of the options, equities and capital markets, including the applicable laws, rules and regulations enforceable by MIAX and the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC). The analyst will be required to review real time market activity, remediate exchange and member issues, and conduct both real time and post trade reviews and investigations. This position requires the analyst to interact in-person on the MIAX Sapphire Options Exchange trading floor with MIAX Sapphire member firm personnel and various MIAX Exchange Group personnel on a daily basis.

Duties include:

• Monitoring of MIAX trading activity and real-time alerts.
• Conducting real-time regulatory reviews utilizing MIAX proprietary systems and industry trade data.
• Identifying and communicating potential regulatory issues and unusual trading behavior to supervisors, senior officers and/or member firms.
• Interacting with MIAX Sapphire member firm personnel, other Self-Regulatory Organizations (SRO’s) personnel and various MIAX Exchange Group personnel.
• Building relationships with options exchange market participants and providing guidance on MIAX Sapphire Options Exchange rules.

Organizational Structure

The Trading Floor Official Analyst will report directly to the Vice President of Regulatory Trading Floor Oversight. The Trading Floor Official Analyst will work out of the MIAX Sapphire Options Exchange trading floor located in Miami, FL.

Qualifications

• Ability to function at a high level and prioritize critical tasks in a dynamically changing environment.
• Ability to perform real-time reviews involving complex trading issues.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Advanced Excel skills highly desired.
• Familiarity with LiveVol or other market data vendor platforms.
• Motivated individual with the ability to work independently, as a team member and across various MIAX departments.
• Excellent people skills.

Education and Experience

• Knowledge of trading and markets in options industry required, including SEC and SRO rules and regulations.
• Expert-level professional focused on sharpening skills and working under limited guidance and supervision.
• Experience working in a real-time trading environment (exchange, trading desk, etc.) preferred.
• Regulatory experience at an SRO strongly desired.
• Knowledge of Options, Derivatives and Capital Markets.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

The anticipated annualized base pay range for this position is $80,000 - $140,000. Actual initial base salary will be determined based on factors that may include qualifications, experience, and/or geography.
