Training Content Specialist

Definable Solutions is looking for our next Training Content Specialist to join a fully remote team working to help public sector organizations make informed, confident decisions through the effective use of data. By turning complex information into clear, meaningful insights, we help leaders drive measurable growth and deliver lasting, positive outcomes for the communities they serve.

The Training Content Specialist is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of customer-facing training content and educational resources across Definable Solutions' product portfolio. Building the written guides, video content, knowledge base articles, certification materials, and training resources that customers and internal teams rely on every day, the Training Content Specialist is a builder — turning product knowledge and customer insight into practical, accessible, and scalable learning experiences.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Creation & Maintenance

  • Design, develop, and maintain customer-facing training content across all products and user roles — including written guides, step-by-step tutorials, videos, presentations, and other materials.
  • Build and manage Help Center content, such as knowledge base articles, that help customers find answers independently — reducing repetitive support volume and improving self-service capability
  • Create and maintain certification and credentialing materials — including assessments, completion criteria, and supporting study resources
  • Develop supporting materials for webinars, workshops, and scalable training sessions facilitated by CSMs (i.e. 1-to-many, customer sessions, etc.)
  • Maintain content accuracy and currency — updating existing materials promptly when products change, features release, or workflows evolve.

Release Communication & Adoption Content

  • Support the translation of product updates and release information into customer-facing adoption content — working with the Director of Enablement to produce materials that help customers understand practical impact and usage opportunities
  • Develop feature adoption guides, release notes for customers, and usage tips that make new functionality accessible and actionable for district users
  • Maintain a content production calendar aligned to the product release schedule and enablement program calendar
  • Periodically participate in and facilitate 1-to-many training sessions

Internal Enablement Content

  • Develop internal training content for Customer Success and Helpdesk teams — including product knowledge updates, positioning guides, and onboarding materials for new team members
  • Support CSM enablement and certification programs with content and assessment materials
  • Build and maintain internal reference resources that keep customer-facing teams current on product capabilities, workflows, and positioning

Content Quality & Governance

  • Maintain consistent quality, tone, and accuracy standards across all enablement content — applying defined templates, style guidelines, and review processes
  • Conduct regular content audits to identify outdated, inaccurate, or missing materials across the knowledge base and training library
  • Organize and structure content for discoverability — ensuring customers and internal teams can find what they need efficiently
  • Collaborate with Product Specialists and CSMs to incorporate accurate product knowledge and real customer workflow context into training materials

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Content Craft Writes clearly and accessibly for non-technical audiences. Knows how to simplify complex platform concepts without losing accuracy.
  • Creative Acumen Applies basic design, layout, color and graphic elements to elevate the visual appeal and engagement of all collateral.
  • Technical Agility: Tech-savvy across diverse written, visual, and video production platforms; naturally adaptable and quick to master new digital ecosystems.
  • Attention to Detail Catches inconsistencies, outdated information, and accuracy gaps before they reach customers. Holds content to a high standard consistently.
  • Product Curiosity Builds genuine platform knowledge — not just documentation of what exists, but understanding of how and why customers use it.
  • Organizational Habits Manages a content library with discipline — tracking what exists, what needs updating, and what is missing across a growing product portfolio.
  • Collaborative Production Works effectively with CSMs, Product Specialists, and the Director of Enablement to gather accurate input and incorporate feedback without losing momentum.
  • Scalability Mindset Builds content that can serve many customers at once — prioritizing reusable, evergreen resources over one-off custom materials.
