Truck Driver Class A CDL

Class A CDL Truck Driver – Empire Recycle Services

Empire Recycle Services, the sister company to Empire Waste Services, is looking for a dependable and safety-focused Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our growing team. This position is responsible for transporting recyclable materials, operating commercial equipment, and supporting our recycling operations throughout Southern Utah.

Position Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, semi-trucks, and forklifts.
• Transport recyclable materials, cardboard bales, and other recyclable commodities to our recycling center and vendor locations.
• Safely load and unload materials using forklifts or other appropriate equipment.
• Navigate trucks in tight spaces, commercial properties, and industrial facilities to collect and transport recyclable materials.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are safe and compliant.
• Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
• Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, mileage, and fuel documentation.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance concerns.
• Represent Empire Recycle Services professionally while interacting with customers and the public.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
• 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment (preferred).
• Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication with dispatch and management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience driving tractor-trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar commercial vehicles.
• Familiarity with recycling, waste management, construction, or industrial transportation.
• Forklift certification or prior forklift experience is preferred but not required.
