Tutor - Math

Be part of an exciting team of tutors and teachers at Angwin Academy. We are in need of upper level math tutors to support clients with:

Middle and High School Math - to include Algebra, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Probability and Statistics and Calculus

*Needed during high demand times 3-8pm Monday - Thursday

Duties:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions as needed; in person and on-line
- Assess students' academic needs and develop personalized lesson plans to address those needs.

- Work with parents and school teachers to develop effective intervention programming.

- Communicate regularly with parents on student progress and needs.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and learning resources to enhance students' understanding and retention of the material.
- Monitor students' progress and provide feedback on their performance.
- Help students develop effective study skills and strategies.
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Math or related field preferred.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual learning styles of students.
- Familiarity with learning technology and online tutoring platforms.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.

You will utilize your core skills in tutoring and classroom management to create engaging learning experiences. Your expertise in curriculum development and learning technology will support the implementation of innovative educational practices.
