Warehouse Associate

Position Summary

Guard Dog Security is seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations. This position is responsible for storing, picking, packing, and shipping products while ensuring inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to perform physically demanding work in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Read and accurately interpret shipping slips, packing lists, work orders, and shipping labels.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to company standards.
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse by stocking, organizing, and properly storing inventory in designated locations.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Inspect products for damage and report discrepancies to management.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities to ensure on-time order fulfillment if needed.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse distribution experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand shipping slips, packing lists, and inventory documentation.
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds or more as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, and reach frequently.
• Ability to work in both indoor warehouse and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Ability to work overtime as needed to meet business demands.
