Welder

MPS Group, Inc., is seeking a Welder to join our team at our Cleveland Cliffs F acility located in Middletown, OH . This individual will support General Managers and all contacts at client locations by performing essential welding and infrastructure repair duties.

Shift Details

Shift: 1st

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Responsibilities And Job Duties

• Stick weld using 6010 & 7018 rod to repair infrastructure up to 1” thick.
• Read blueprints and fabricate parts from prints.
• Coordinate with site contacts to ensure all work meets plant and customer requirements.
• Follow all environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  
  

Requirements And Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of welding-related experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of all processes managed on the job site, including PPE, safety rules, policies, and procedures for the designated plant location.
• Ability to understand basic equipment operating instructions and safe work practices in written or verbal format.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general and technical business procedures and customer requirements.
• Ability to calculate general figures and amounts, such as proportions, percentage, area, and volume.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
