Cloud Engineering & Operations Manager – AI Integration - Remote
Location: Remote – USA

Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineering & Operations Manager to lead cloud engineering, operations, product enhancements, engineering change management, AI integration, and customer-facing activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing cloud environments, engineering teams, technology operations, and stakeholder communications, along with practical exposure to Generative AI and ChatGPT-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day cloud engineering and operations activities for cloud-based products and applications.
Manage production operations, system reliability, performance, availability, and incident resolution.
Drive product enhancements, engineering improvements, and technical initiatives from planning through implementation.
Manage the engineering change management process, including impact assessment, risk analysis, approvals, testing, deployment, and post-release validation.
Partner with engineering, infrastructure, product, security, and business teams to deliver technology initiatives.
Identify opportunities to leverage Generative AI, ChatGPT, and other AI technologies within engineering products and business workflows.
Evaluate AI use cases and coordinate the integration and deployment of AI capabilities into existing products and platforms.
Ensure AI implementations meet appropriate requirements for security, privacy, governance, quality, and scalability.
Work directly with customers to understand requirements, resolve issues, communicate technical solutions, and manage expectations.
Provide regular communication to customers and internal stakeholders regarding project status, operational issues, risks, and planned changes.
Develop and present weekly/monthly status reports, governance reports, KPI/SLA reports, risk and issue reports, and change-management reports.
Maintain dashboards and operational metrics to track service performance and engineering initiatives.
Identify operational risks and dependencies and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve cloud operations, product quality, automation, and engineering efficiency.
Participate in strategic planning, technology roadmaps, and management reviews.
Required Qualifications
15+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Operations, DevOps, SRE, Engineering Operations, or a related field.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience with cloud infrastructure, application operations, monitoring, incident management, and production support.
Experience managing engineering changes, releases, enhancements, and deployment processes.
Practical experience with Generative AI, ChatGPT, LLMs, or AI-enabled applications.
Experience working with customers and senior business/technical stakeholders.
Strong understanding of IT service management, governance, risk management, and operational processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fully remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, OpenAI APIs, or similar AI platforms.
Experience implementing AI features into enterprise applications.
Knowledge of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, containers, Kubernetes, and cloud automation.
Experience with Agile/Scrum and engineering product development methodologies.
Familiarity with ITIL, change management, incident management, and governance frameworks.
Experience preparing executive-level presentations and management reports.
