Maintenance Technician

Commercial HVAC/R & Hot Equipment Preventative Maintenance Technician

North Pacific Mechanical is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC/R & Hot Equipment Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. We service a wide range of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and food service equipment, including walk-in coolers and freezers, condensing units, make-up air units (MAUs), ice machines, exhaust fans, rooftop units (RTUs), fryers, ovens, and more.

We are looking for a motivated, dependable technician who can work independently, take pride in their work, and provide exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections on commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and hot equipment systems.
• Clean, lubricate, adjust, and service equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Replace filters, belts, and other routine maintenance components as required.
• Complete accurate service reports and maintain detailed maintenance records.
• Identify potential equipment issues and communicate findings to management and customers.
• Follow all company safety procedures, industry standards, and applicable codes.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding maintenance findings and recommendations.
• Assist in maintaining the overall reliability and efficiency of customer equipment.

Working Conditions

• Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights when necessary.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Occasional overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and/or hot equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Compensation

Starting pay is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and certifications.
