Title: Wiz Security Engineer

Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid)

• This role requires a senior Cybersecurity Engineer with deep expertise in enabling and operationalizing Wiz Cloud Wiz Defend and Wiz Outpost to support enterprise Cybersecurity Operations teams The consultant will be a key figure in driving cloud security posture management cloud detection and response and threat visibility across cloud environments serving as a forcemultiplier for SOC detection engineering and cloud platform teams

• Key Responsibilities

• Wiz Platform Enablement

• Deploy configure and operationalize Wiz Cloud Wiz Defend and Wiz Outpost across enterprise cloud environments

• Onboard cloud accounts projects and workloads into the Wiz platform across AWS and GCP

• Build and maintain Wiz integration frameworks to surface risks misconfigurations vulnerabilities and active threats in real time

• Develop custom Wiz policies security graphs and controls aligned to enterprise security standards

• Wiz Outpost Deployments

• Architect deploy and manage Wiz Outpost to support data residency airgapped and sovereign cloud requirements within enterprise environments

• Configure and maintain Outpost infrastructure to ensure secure performant and compliant scanning within customermanaged environments

• Troubleshoot and optimize Wiz Outpost connectivity scanning pipelines and operational health across AWS and GCP deployments

• Collaborate with cloud platform and network engineering teams to integrate Wiz Outpost within existing landing zone and VPCVPN architectures

• Cybersecurity Operations Support

• Integrate Wiz findings into SIEM SOAR and ticketing workflows to drive operational efficiency for SOC and detection engineering teams

• Build automated remediation and ing pipelines based on Wiz threat and posture signals

• Partner with security operations teams to develop runbooks and response playbooks for Wiz Defend detections

• CloudNative Security Engineering

• Design and enforce security controls across cloudnative architectures including container security KubernetesEKSGKE serverless and microservices

• Implement and manage IAM policies network security controls and leastprivilege access models across AWS and GCP

• Promote and enforce InfrastructureasCode IaC security best practices using Terraform or CloudFormation

• Governance Compliance

• Establish cloud security guardrails and governance frameworks aligned to organizational risk posture

• Conduct risk assessments and support audit and compliance requirements across cloud environments

• Collaborate with DevSecOps and platform engineering teams to embed security controls within CICD pipelines

Required Skills Experience

• Experience 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering with at least 2 years of handson experience with the Wiz platform Wiz Cloud Wiz Defend andor Wiz Outpost

• Wiz Platform

• Deep expertise in Wiz Cloud CSPM CIEM vulnerability management and Wiz Defend CDR runtime threat detection

• Handson experience deploying and managing Wiz Outpost in customermanaged or regulated cloud environments including configuration network integration and operational support

• Proficiency in Wiz security graph policy authoring and integration APIs

• Cloud Platforms

• Strong cloudnative engineering expertise across AWS IAM EKS Lambda VPC GuardDuty Security Hub and GCP IAM GKE Cloud Run Security Command Center

• Handson experience with cloud networking identity and workload security across multicloud environments

• Familiarity with landing zone architectures private connectivity PrivateLink VPC peering VPN and network segmentation key for Wiz Outpost deployment patterns

• Security Operations

• Experience integrating cloud security tooling with SIEM platforms eg Splunk Chronicle and SOAR solutions

• Familiarity with threat detection incident response workflows and triage within a SOC environment

• Technologies

• Containerization Docker and Kubernetes EKSGKE

• IaC Terraform CloudFormation or equivalent

• ScriptingAutomation Python Bash or similar for pipeline and workflow automation

• Security Frameworks

• Working knowledge of MITRE ATTCK Cloud Matrix CIS Benchmarks NIST CSF and cloud security best practices

• Preferred Experience with Zero Trust architecture and policyascode

• Preferred Familiarity with data residency sovereignty and regulated industry compliance requirements relevant to Wiz Outpost use cases

• Certifications Preferred but not required Wiz Certified Expert AWS Security Specialty Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer CISSP or CCSP

Education

• A Bachelors degree in Computer Science Cybersecurity Information Technology or a related technical field is required or equivalent professional experience

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance and internal equity.

Benefits
Compensation range: $90,032.00 to $134,200.00 per year
