Your Part of the Adventure
We stand on the brink of a massive growth acceleration and are fully data-driven. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will join our Data Insights team and build the foundation upon which the entire company makes its decisions: a robust Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and scalable data pipelines that convert raw signals into strategic intelligence.
What does this entail exactly?<ul><li>
Builder &amp; Visionary: You anticipate our scalability needs for the next 12&ndash;24 months, but your real focus is leading the charge in setting up, coding, and tuning this infrastructure. You determine the speed and stability of our data flows.</li><li>
Databricks Ownership: You are the owner and primary builder of our data platform, with Databricks serving as the central hub for all our data. You are hands-on with database administration, core pipeline architecture, and performance tuning to lower query execution times.</li><li>
Integrations &amp; Governance: You collaborate directly with the Head of Data to translate vision into stable code, build new API integrations, and seamlessly connect tools like Segment (CDP) to power customer and market segmentation for Sales and CS. You ensure our core platform hits a 99.9% uptime stability while complying with all security and privacy guidelines.</li><li>
Technical Authority: Beyond your steering role, you act as a technical mentor within the team, providing on-the-job support to help junior and medior engineers grow.</li><li>
Foundation for Scaling: Working right in the middle of our company scaling phase, you deliver the rock-solid infrastructure that keeps our rapid growth manageable and profitable. You are a true connector between execution and technology.</li></ul>

What We Expect from You
<ul><li>An experienced, hands-on Data Engineer recognized as an expert in mission-critical data infrastructure with a clear vision for scaling platforms.</li><li>
Deep experience with Databricks, pipeline engineering, building API connections, and complex ETL processes.</li><li>
Demonstrated knowledge of database administration, setting up a Medallion Architecture, and extensive performance tuning.</li><li>
A proactive Craft Authority who anticipates scalability issues but loves hands-on building and mentoring colleagues just as much.</li><li>
Analytically minded, flexible, eager to learn, and always up-to-date with the latest industry developments.</li><li>
A minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, preferably within a SaaS environment.</li><li>

Your Contribution to the Adventure
The rise of AI coding tools is changing the software world at breakneck speed: writing code is becoming cheaper and faster, leading to exponential growth in the volume of code we produce. However, more code also means a larger test surface. To prevent our development velocity from stalling over the question, &quot;can we confidently deploy this to production?&quot;, we need you. You will become the owner of our automated testing platform and CI infrastructure, ensuring our teams can continue to release at maximum speed.
What does this entail?<ul><li>
System &amp; Architecture: This is not a role where you will simply click through test cases or manually verify code. Your output is the system and the architecture behind the tests. You will design the test framework, manage the test data lifecycle, and build a stable, cross-team smoke suite that spans our markets in NL, BE, DK, and DE.</li></ul><ul><li>
Tech-Lead &amp; Coaching: Additionally, you are a true tech-lead and sparring partner. You will coach and support teams in writing their own local E2E tests within your platform.</li><li>
Execution &amp; Communication: You are driven by execution and communication: you collaborate seamlessly with colleagues like Joke and Pasha to translate their exploratory testing insights into rock-solid automated regression coverage.</li><li>

Your Contribution to the Adventure
We stand on the brink of a massive technological acceleration and are going all-in on our 'agentic bet'. As a Senior Agentic Platform Engineer, you will build the crucial infrastructure (the substrate) upon which our Senior AI Engineers and Data Scientists develop their production agents. This is not a code-generation problem we can simply delegate to AI; it is a high-level architectural challenge. You define what 'good' looks like for an agent in production.
What does this entail?<ul><li>
Ownership of Core AI Infra: In this role, you will own the evaluation harness, agent tracing, the prompt and tool registry (including the MCP protocol), and the routing layer for model calls.</li><li>
SaaS Transformation: Additionally, you will transform our DevOps environment into a modern SaaS landscape where agent observability, model gateways, and agent-aware deploy patterns are the standard.</li><li>
Modernization &amp; DevOps: Alongside this innovative AI infrastructure, you will take the lead in modernizing and maintaining our current pipelines and core DevOps tasks.</li><li>
Tech-Lead Role: You are a true tech-lead of execution and communication: you seamlessly align with other senior developers and translate complex challenges into clear sprints.</li></ul>

Demonstrated knowledge of agent observability, evaluation infrastructures, and LLM gateways within a modern SaaS landscape.</li><li>
A proactive, hands-on leader (&quot;meewerkend voorman&quot;) who takes ownership of ongoing DevOps tasks (such as package updates, fixing vulnerabilities in SPA/AEU, pipeline support, and platform monitoring via tools like LaunchDarkly).</li><li>
Analytical, flexible, eager to learn, and always up-to-date with the latest technologies.</li><li>
Proven experience in software/platform engineering, preferably within a SaaS environment.</li></ul>
