Role Overview
We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead Infrastructure and Indirect Sourcing at 1X. This role is a people manager responsible for building, developing, and scaling a high-performing sourcing team that supports facilities, IT infrastructure, factory operations, and corporate services as the company grows.
This role requires strong judgment, prioritization, and people leadership in an environment where not everything is fully defined.
You WIll<ul><li>
Lead and develop a team of Global Sourcing Managers and Sourcing Leads/Specialists</li><li>
Own infrastructure and indirect sourcing strategy across global sites</li><li>
Partner with Facilities, IT, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Finance, and HR</li><li>
Set priorities, manage escalations, and align sourcing to company growth</li><li>
Drive cost optimization, supplier performance, and risk management</li><li>
Define sourcing strategy and operating model for infrastructure and indirect spend</li><li>
Support infrastructure planning for new sites, expansions, and operational scaling</li></ul>
Team-Based Commodity Oversight (via team, not individually):<ul><li>
IT infrastructure and network services</li><li>
Facilities maintenance and site services</li><li>
Construction, CapEx, and site expansion</li><li>
Factory production support (tooling, MRO, consumables)</li><li>
Corporate services (travel, HR-related services)</li></ul>
Commodity ownership is intentionally distributed across the team based on experience and business needs. 
Must Have<ul><li>
8+ years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, or procurement</li><li>
3+ years of experience managing and developing sourcing or supply chain teams</li><li>
Proven ability to build and scale teams in fast-growing or ambiguous environments</li><li>
Experience setting strategy, priorities, and operating models across multiple indirect or infrastructure categories</li><li>
Strong cross-functional leadership skills with senior stakeholders (Facilities, IT, Manufacturing, Finance, HR)</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to balance short-term execution with long-term capability building</li><li>
Experience managing competing priorities, tradeoffs, and escalations</li></ul>
Nice to Have<ul><li>
Experience supporting multi-site or global operations</li><li>
Background in infrastructure, facilities, IT, manufacturing support, or indirect sourcing</li><li>
Experience partnering with Finance on budgets, forecasts, and savings tracking</li></ul>

Salary Range: $134,600 &ndash; $201,800</li><li>

Role Overview
We are seeking a Global Supply Manager (GSM) to lead sourcing and supplier strategy for IT infrastructure and technology services that enable scalable, secure, and reliable operations at 1X.
This role is part of a team-based infrastructure sourcing organization, where category ownership is intentionally split across multiple Global Supply Managers based on experience and business needs. Candidates are not expected to have experience across all infrastructure categories. Depth in relevant areas is preferred over broad but shallow exposure.
You Will<ul><li>
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned IT infrastructure and technology categories</li><li>
Lead RFx processes, supplier selection, negotiations, and contract execution</li><li>
Build and manage supplier relationships aligned to performance, cost, and scalability needs</li><li>
Partner closely with IT, Security, Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Finance</li><li>
Support site IT buildouts, infrastructure scaling, and technology programs</li><li>
Drive cost optimization, supplier performance, and risk mitigation</li><li>
Monitor supplier KPIs and ensure compliance with commercial agreements</li></ul>
Primary Category Ownership (Based on Experience)<ul><li>
IT infrastructure hardware and services</li><li>
Networking equipment and network services</li><li>
Managed IT and support services</li><li>
System integrators and enterprise technology vendors</li></ul> 
Must Have<ul><li>
5+ years of experience in global supply management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain</li><li>
Demonstrated depth in IT infrastructure and/or technology services sourcing (e.g., networking, data center, managed services, cloud-adjacent services)</li><li>
Experience sourcing and negotiating services-based agreements, including SLAs, SOWs, and commercial terms</li><li>
Proven ability to own sourcing end-to-end (strategy, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution)</li><li>
Strong commercial and negotiation skills, particularly in vendor and services environments</li><li>
Experience partnering with IT, Security, Engineering, and Operations stakeholders</li><li>
Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous, startup-style environments</li></ul>
Nice to Have<ul><li>
Experience sourcing managed IT services or network services</li><li>
Familiarity with vendor performance management and SLA enforcement</li><li>
Experience supporting multi-site or global IT infrastructure</li></ul>
