Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our Ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations within our medical facility, whether it be a hospital, dental office, or clinic setting.Duties<ul><li>Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming environment.</li><li>Manage front desk operations including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries.</li><li>Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using electronic health record systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks.</li><li>Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, including ICD-10 coding when necessary.</li><li>Assist with insurance verification and billing processes.</li><li>Coordinate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.</li><li>Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.</li><li>Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Previous experience in a clerical or front desk role within an optometrist or ophthalmologist medical clinic is preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, eClinicalWorks) is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation review processes is advantageous.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.</li></ul>Join our dedicated team where your contributions will make a significant impact on patient care and satisfaction!Job Type: Full-timePay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li></ul>Medical Specialty:<ul><li>Ophthalmology</li></ul>Work Location: In person
