Position Overview:</p><p></p><p><br>
As part of our Calculation Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of engineering solutions for complex projects. Your responsibilities will include:</p><br>
<p></p><ul><li>
Lead the development, integration and documentation of project requirements to establish and achieve the required design;</li><li>
Prepare conceptual and detailed design calculations, layouts, sketches, specifications;</li><li>
Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical tools, FEM simulations throughout all design phases;</li><li>
Supervise and lead structural and piping project team(s), monitoring progress and issue of deliverables and reporting on performance of the team;</li><li>
Liaise with internal project and production teams and external vendors and subcontractors;</li><li>
Develop analytical processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the department;</li><li>
Provide input to feasibility studies, design criteria, reports, preliminary design and engineering specifications;</li><li>
Lead design reviews internally and liaise with Classification Societies (DNV, ABS, BV) for obtaining project review approvals;</li><li>
Site visits and inspections;</li><li>
Create a professionally challenging work environment for team members;</li><li>
Coordinate all requirements for the related project with other disciplines.</li></ul><br>

Profile</b></h3><div><br>
<p></p><p>We seek the ideal candidate profile with:</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Educational background:</b></p><ul><li>
Engineering Bachelor degree (Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Naval Engineer);</li></ul><p><b><br>
Industry knowledge:</b></p><ul><li>
Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience structural design for Offshore O&amp;G;</li><li>
Minimum of 2+ years of technical project leadership;</li></ul><p><b><br>
Essential technical skills:</b></p><ul><li>
Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software such as ANSYS, FEMAP or equivalent;</li><li>
Experience in dealing with classification societies such as DNV, ABS, BV in relation to structural and piping design;</li><li>
Proficient with hand/analytical calculations;</li><li>
Technical knowledge of steel fabrication and steel material selection as per relevant Codes;</li></ul><p><b><br>
Software proficiency:</b></p><ul><li>
Experience with structural analysis software, STAAD PRO or similar is mandatory;</li><li>
Well versed in analytical calculations of steel connections with Mathcad / Excel is mandatory;</li><li>
Well versed in calculation (FEM) and drafting software (CAD) such as but not restricted to STAAD, FEMAP, ANSYS, Solidworks, PV Elite, AUTOCAD.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>

Position Overview:</p><br>

Participate in surveys or client RFQ evaluations to understand customer and project requirements;</li><li>
Carryout electrical detailed design, sizing and calculations, and verify design done by others;</li><li>
Prepare/ update single-line drawings to meet project specifications;</li><li>
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quotations are received promptly and technical requirements are followed;</li><li>
Assist in preparing bids/ offers/ quotations and design of solutions under Lead Electrical Engineer supervision;</li><li>
Monitor project progress to ensure schedule and budget targets are met. Submit required report to the Electrical Manager;</li><li>
Ensure that required technical documentation is prepared after each project;</li><li>
Coordinate the work of electrical subcontractors during installation or advise Project Engineers on electrical work coordination;</li><li>
Understand Offshore installation standards and ensure implementation during installation;</li><li>
Take the lead &amp; make plans to answer to client&rsquo;s requests/queries/issues.</li></ul></div><p></p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>

Engineering Diploma or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering;</li></ul><p><b><br>
Industry knowledge:</b></p><ul><li>
Minimum of 7 years&rsquo; experience working in Marine Offshore industry, especially with drilling rigs and Offshore Oil &amp; Gas installations;</li><li>
Similar experience in Shipyard refurbishment projects will be considered</li></ul><p><b>
Essential technical skills:</b></p><ul><li>
Good experience and understanding of ATEX, IEC Offshore Installation Standards and Oil &amp; Gas electrical installation requirements;</li><li>
Good knowledge of Classification Society Rules (ABS / DNV) electrical requirements;</li><li>
Project Management qualification preferred, such as PMP, Prince2 etc.</li></ul><br>
