</h2>We are seeking an experienced Cost Analyst (5&ndash;10 years) to support complex energy and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will play a critical role in tracking project costs, analyzing variances, and ensuring compliance with financial standards, regulations, and project requirements.
This role requires a detail-oriented and adaptable professional who can collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and compliance teams to maintain financial accuracy and drive cost efficiency.
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">Key Responsibilities
</h2><ul><li>Track and analyze project budgets, actual costs, and overall financial performance .
</li><li>Identify and investigate cost variances , providing root cause analysis and corrective recommendations.
</li><li>Lead budget preparation and cost forecasting activities, aligning project costs with organizational goals.
</li><li>Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to adjust budgets based on scope changes .
</li><li>Prepare financial reports, cost documentation, and variance analyses for leadership review.
</li><li>Work closely with finance, audit, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards .
</li><li>Support multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment .
</li><li>Recommend and implement process improvements for enhanced cost control and efficiency.
</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">Qualifications
</h2><ul><li>Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
</li><li>Experience: 5&ndash;10 years of experience in cost analysis, project controls, or financial planning .
</li><li>Technical Proficiency:
<ul><li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, Power BI) .
</li><li>Experience working with large datasets and cost control systems.
</li><li>Familiarity with utility or energy project environments is highly desirable.
</li></ul></li><li>Core Competencies:
<ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors .
</li><li>Ability to multitask and manage multiple complex projects .
