Senior Data Scientist (P4513)

Summary

The SCORe team is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support ecommerce retail operations, focusing on optimization and data science. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills in optimization and production-quality code development with a practical understanding of retail operations. This role most closely aligns with an Optimization Science / Operations Research skillset.

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Research, develop, and implement optimization models that directly support live ecommerce retail operations at scale.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Write production-grade, computationally efficient code that supports near real-time decision-making for in-store and ecommerce operations.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Lead the development and delivery of analytical plans to support client roadmaps, ensuring the adoption of best practices and innovative ideas.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, designing and delivering best-in-class solutions.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Partner with engineering, product, and research teams to implement best practices for analysis, storage, and quality assurance.</li>

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

<li>Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, operations research, data science, or a related discipline.</li>

</ul><ul><li>2+ years of experience writing production-quality code in Python.</li>
</ul><ul><li>2+ years of experience developing and deploying solutions on cloud platforms (Azure, Databricks, etc.).</li>
</ul><ul><li>Proficiency in querying and manipulating large datasets from relational databases.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Expertise in data wrangling, cleaning, and preparation.</li>

We're looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented FP&amp;A Manager to lead the financial planning, forecasting, and performance tracking of our Commercial Expenses and Sales Compensation portfolio. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing and providing insight into an $800M+ expense budget, supporting business leaders with data-driven decision-making and financial discipline.

This is an exciting opportunity to work cross-functionally with Sales, HR, and Commercial Operations teams to ensure accurate compensation modeling, effective cost management, and strategic resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities

<li>Budget Ownership &amp; Forecasting: 
Own the end-to-end planning, budgeting, and forecasting process for ~$800M in commercial spend, including sales compensation, headcount-driven expenses, T&amp;E, and program spend.</li>
<li>Compensation Modeling &amp; Analysis: 
Partner with Sales Operations and HR to model, track, and forecast variable compensation plans. Ensure alignment between business goals, plan design, and financial impact.</li>
<li>Expense Management &amp; Variance Analysis: 
Provide monthly and quarterly reporting on actuals vs. budget/forecast, highlighting key drivers of variances and recommending corrective actions where needed.</li>
<li>Business Partnering: 
Serve as the primary finance partner to Sales, HR, and Commercial teams. Provide financial insights and guidance on resource allocation, incentive structures, and cost optimization strategies.</li>
<li>Strategic Insights: 
Develop frameworks and dashboards to analyze spend trends, ROI on commercial initiatives, and headcount efficiency. Translate data into actionable insights for leadership.</li>

Qualifications
