Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our staff. The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging music lessons and foster a love for music in a supportive learning environment. This role involves teaching various musical concepts, developing lesson plans, and encouraging students to explore their musical talents.Duties<ul><li>Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and abilities.</li><li>Teach group music theory, and vocal techniques and/ or instrumental skills to students of varying ages.</li><li>Create a positive lesson atmosphere that promotes creativity and self-expression.</li><li>Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to them and their parent/ guardian to enhance their musical development.</li><li>Prepare your students for performances to showcase their achievements.</li><li>Manage student behavior effectively while maintaining an engaging and fun learning environment.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proficiency in music theory and practical skills in one or more musical instruments. Our most requested instruments are piano, guitar, drums, ukulele, strings, and voice.</li><li>Experience in lesson planning tailored for diverse age groups.</li><li>Knowledge of childhood development principles to effectively teach young learners.</li><li>Strong lesson and time management abilities to maintain an orderly and productive environment.</li><li>Skills in behavior management techniques to support students' emotional and social growth.</li><li>Bachelors degree or higher in music is preferred, but not required.</li></ul>Join us in nurturing the next generation of musicians and fostering a lifelong appreciation for the arts!Job Types: Part-time, ContractPay: From $15.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Paid training</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Chesterfield, MO 63017 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
