</b></h2><div>Linux is at the heart of modern infrastructure - from the smallest embedded device to the largest data center fleet. At 9elements we help our customers build secure, trustworthy platforms based on open-source Linux stacks - from the firmware up. Whether it's hardening a Linux-based bootloader, integrating measured boot, or bringing a hypervisor to a new platform, we make sure open-source becomes the secure foundation that the industry can rely on.</div></div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Your Role</b></h2><div>
You will be working with our systems and security team on various customer projects. The team size ranges between 2 to 5 engineers on one project. You will design, harden and ship Linux-based system software - from kernel and userspace components to secure boot chains, TPM integration and attestation - always aligned (and upstreamed back) with/into the community.</div></div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

</div></div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Your profile</b></h2><div><ul><li>
(Embedded) Linux is your home turf - You're comfortable building, debugging and shipping Linux systems, from the kernel down to drivers and up through userspace, and you're not afraid to read source code (or write it).</li><li>
You care about security - You think about threat models, attack surfaces and trust boundaries, and you want to make systems that are secure by design instead of secure by hope.</li><li>
Being able to deep dive into technical issues - You love code and love debugging issues down to the core (which can be hardware - sometimes).</li><li>
You're fluent in English - English is our business language, internal and external and you should be able to communicate with it.</li><li>
You speak German &mdash; a good portion of the customers you'll work with are German-speaking, so professional working proficiency in German, written and spoken, is required for this role.</li><li>
You like working with Open-Source - sounds obvious but working with the open-source communities can be challenging sometimes. You have to be able to find the best possible solutions for our customers and the community.</li><li>

Linux Kernel Development</li><li>
Hypervisor experience - You've worked with KVM, Xen, or smaller research hypervisors and understand virtualization from the bare metal up? We'd love to hear from you.</li><li>
Hands-on experience with TPMs, secure boot, measured boot or remote attestation.</li><li>
Yocto, Buildroot or custom distro experience for embedded targets.</li><li>
Low-level languages are your friends - C is a given, Rust is a plus.</li></ul></div></div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
