Role Overview
The Strategic Account Executive (SAE) is a pure hunter responsible for driving net&ndash;new business within the most strategic tier&ndash;one global and national accounts. This role focuses on multi&ndash;year platform adoption, competitive takeouts, and influencing C&ndash;level technology roadmaps in AI, cloud, application delivery, and security. While primarily a hunter role, the SAE may also manage a select group of install base accounts depending on territory structure.
Key Responsibilities
<ul><li>Hunting Excellence: Identify, target, and close net&ndash;new strategic accounts in assigned region
</li><li>C&ndash;Level Engagement: Lead executive level conversations influencing long&ndash;term technology roadmaps
</li><li>Strategic Deal Leadership: Own complex, multi&ndash;threaded deals, articulating a strong value proposition and competitive differentiation
</li><li>Enterprise Transformation Selling: Position A10 as the AI&ndash;era platform for security, ADC, and traffic management
</li><li>Pipeline Generation: Build and maintain a strong pipeline through targeted prospecting, events, account based marketing (ABM), and channel co&ndash;selling
</li><li>Territory Flexibility: May manage select install base accounts to capture expansion when aligned with strategic goals
</li></ul>Candidate Qualifications
<ul><li>10+ years of experience in enterprise strategic hunting
</li><li>Proven track record of seven&ndash;figure deals and platform displacement wins
</li><li>Deep knowledge of ADC, security, cloud networking, and AI infrastructure
</li><li>Exceptional executive presence with strong C&ndash;level communication skills
</li><li>Experience leveraging two&ndash;tier distribution and channel partnerships
</li></ul>Educational and Professional Requirements:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent work experience
</li></ul><ul><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including formal presentation capabilities
</li><li>Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
</li><li>Strong strategic planning skills to build stable business streams
