<div>We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lab Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Technical Laboratory focused on Lithium-Ion Battery R&amp;D. This role is essential in ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the lab facility, including equipment maintenance, utilities management, testing, cell building, and coordination of all R&amp;D activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical understanding, hands-on experience in lab operations, and team leadership capabilities.</div>
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Primary Responsibilities</b></h2>
<ul><li>Lab Operations Management:</li>
</ul><ul><li>Oversee day-to-day activities of the lithium-ion battery R&amp;D lab.</li>
<li>Ensure all equipment, tools, and systems are operating efficiently and safely.</li>
<li>Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and lab workflows.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Facility &amp; Utility Maintenance:</li>
</ul><ul><li>Coordinate maintenance of lab facilities and critical utilities (e.g., HVAC, compressed air, power systems).</li>
<li>Schedule and supervise preventive maintenance and calibration of instruments and testing equipment.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Testing &amp; Product Support:</li>
</ul><ul><li>Support setup and execution of battery testing protocols (e.g., charge/discharge cycles, thermal testing).</li>
<li>Assist engineering and R&amp;D teams in prototype assembly, sample preparation, and product building.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Inventory &amp; Procurement:</li>
</ul><ul><li>Maintain inventory of lab consumables, tools, and spare parts.</li>
<li>Coordinate with procurement for timely ordering of supplies and equipment.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Health, Safety &amp; Compliance:</li>
</ul><ul><li>Ensure strict adherence to EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) standards.</li>
<li>Maintain compliance with internal and external regulations (e.g., hazardous materials handling).</li>
</ul><ul><li>Team Coordination:</li>
</ul><ul><li>Supervise lab technicians and engineer as needed.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&amp;D, Quality, and Engineering</li>
</ul>
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Specific Skills / Background</b></h2>
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, mechanical, electrical or a related technical field. (Master&rsquo;s preferred).</li>
<li>10+ years of hands-on experience in technical lab operations, preferably in battery R&amp;D, or chemical R&amp;D environments.</li>
<li>5+ years of experience in managing the team or group</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of lithium-ion battery systems and testing procedures is a plus.</li>
<li>Experience with lab equipment maintenance and facility utilities.</li>
<li>Excellent organizational and leadership skills.</li>
<li>Strong commitment to lab safety and quality standards.</li>
<li>Familiarity with electrochemical testing equipment (e.g., battery cyclers, impedance analyzers).</li>
<li>Knowledge of cleanroom or dry room operations (if applicable).</li>
<li>Experience in handling hazardous materials and waste management.</li>
