Do you love the outdoors, hunting, and firearms and want to contribute your own artistic skill to the creation of fine engraved commemorative firearms? We are the premiere firearms engraver in the United States and are seeking a talented and organized Lead Artist &amp; Team Lead to manage our art staff while contributing directly to custom engraving projects. This role requires a balance of artistic expertise, technical proficiency, and leadership skills &mdash; someone who can produce high-quality work while guiding a small team and coordinating with both customers and production.</p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Responsibilities</b></h2><ul><li><p>
Communicate between customers, art staff (team of 3), and production staff.</p></li><li><p>
Manage project deadlines, ensuring quality standards are met and artwork moves smoothly into production.</p></li><li><p>
Oversee quality assurance for all artwork.</p></li><li><p>
Train and mentor new art staff to maintain consistency, efficiency, and artistic excellence.</p></li><li><p>
Coordinate workflow, assign tasks, and resolve issues quickly to keep projects on track.</p></li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Required Skills &amp; Experience</b></h2><ul><li><p>
Proficiency in digital line art / ink work, with a portfolio demonstrating engraving or woodcut style illustration.</p></li><li><p>
Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and Procreate.</p></li><li><p>
Strong leadership skills with experience managing small creative teams.</p></li><li><p>
Excellent communication abilities, able to interface with customers, art staff, and production teams alike.</p></li><li><p>
Ability and passion for picking up new skills efficiently, with a desire to adapt, innovate and expand capabilities.</p></li><li><p>
High proficiency in spelling and use of spellcheck tools, with an eye for detail in all text elements.</p></li><li><p>
Organized, deadline-driven, and attentive to detail.</p></li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Preferred</b></h2><ul><li><p>
Experience in a commercial art or production environment.</p></li><li><p>
Familiarity with pre-press or production workflows.</p></li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
