Overview Join our vibrant summer camp team as a Camp Counselor and Driver, where your energy and enthusiasm will inspire children to explore, learn, and grow! In this position, you will be responsible for safely and reliably driving the campers on our vans to and from field trip locations. As a vital member of our Camp team, you will help foster a positive environment that promotes childhood development, teamwork, and fun. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills in childcare, education, and leadership.Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide safe transportation to and from field trip locations using designated vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.</li><li>Supervise and engage children during camp activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all participants</li><li>Facilitate a variety of camp programs including sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor games that promote learning and social skills</li><li>Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies</li><li>Maintain clear communication with parents, staff, and emergency responders in case of incidents or schedule updates</li><li>Support the overall organization of camp logistics, including setting up activities and ensuring equipment safety</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp environments is highly preferred</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license with a clean driving record; experience driving larger vehicles is a plus</li><li>Knowledge of first aid procedures and certification is desirable to ensure camper safety at all times</li><li>Strong classroom management skills</li><li>Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team members</li><li>Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for working with kids in a fun, energetic setting</li></ul>Join us in creating memorable summer experiences that nurture growth and joy!
