 Position Overview
 
 
 
 
 
 
 The Resident Engineer &amp; Contract Administrator represents the Consulting Engineer on-site and is responsible for supervising construction works and administering the construction contract in accordance with the Conditions of Contract (e.g.,&nbsp;F&eacute;d&eacute;ration Internationale Des Ing&eacute;nieurs-Conseils&nbsp;(FIDIC) or other applicable forms).
 
 
 The role ensures that the Contractor executes the works in compliance with design intent, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and contractual obligations, while safeguarding the Client&rsquo;s interests.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 A.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Resident Engineering (Construction Supervision)
 
 
 
 &middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Act as the Engineer&rsquo;s Representative in accordance with the Conditions of Contract.
 
 
 &middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with:

 B.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Contract Administration
 
 
 
 &middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Administer the construction contract impartially and in accordance with its provisions.
 
 
 &middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Issue Engineer&rsquo;s Instructions and clarify technical queries (RFIs).
 
 
 &middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Review, assess, and recommend:
 
 
 o&nbsp;&nbsp;Interim Payment Certificates
 
 
 o&nbsp;&nbsp;Variations and change orders
 
 
 o&nbsp;&nbsp;Extension of Time (EOT) claims
 
 
 o&nbsp;&nbsp;Cost claims and contractual entitlements
 
 
 
 
 
 &middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Maintain detailed records of site instructions, variations, and correspondence.
 
 
 &middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Prepare contractual correspondence on behalf of the Engineer.
 
 
 &middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Evaluate contractor performance against contractual obligations.
 
 
 &middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Participate in progress meetings and prepare minutes.
 
 
 &middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Assist in dispute avoidance, negotiations, and claim resolution.
 
 
 &middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Review and certify completion milestones, including:
 
 
 o&nbsp;&nbsp;Taking-Over Certificate
 
 
 o&nbsp;&nbsp;Defects Liability inspections

 Required Qualifications
 
 
 
 &middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.
 
 
 &middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Professional registration (e.g., PE, CEng, PrEng, or equivalent) preferred.
 
 
 &middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;20 years&rsquo; experience in construction supervision within a consulting engineering environment.
 
 
 &middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Demonstrated experience administering FIDIC-based contracts.
 
 
 &middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project controls.
