<div>About the Role
We are looking for a Director-level Data Scientist to own our marketing measurement infrastructure, attribution frameworks and analytics function, as well as serve as the analytical brain behind our marketing investment decisions. You will manage a team of data analysts while staying hands-on: writing the SQL, running the experiment, and presenting the finding.
This is a rare opportunity to own measurement end-to-end where analytics directly drives major revenue decisions. Senior living is a high-consideration, emotionally complex category: long purchase cycles, offline conversion signals, and a consumer making one of the most important decisions of their family's life. The analytical challenges are genuinely hard and genuinely meaningful.
You will be embedded across Marketing, Finance, and Operations, owning complex projects end-to-end, championing data quality, and building self-serve tools that make the whole organization smarter. We need someone with strong business intuition alongside technical depth, who surfaces the next opportunity without being asked: direct visibility with senior leadership, the autonomy to build the function the right way, and a seat at the table when marketing investment decisions are made. 
 
Team Leadership<ul><li>
Manage and develop a team of data analysts: set priorities, define standards, conduct 1:1s, and build a high-performance analytical culture</li><li>
Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, Technology, and Operations; present findings and roadmap updates to senior leadership</li></ul>
Measurement, Attribution &amp; Testing<ul><li>
Own end-to-end marketing measurement strategy across paid, organic, referral, and direct channels</li><li>
Manage measurement vendor relationships: pressure-test outputs, identify gaps, and push back when needed; you are not building these from scratch but must be able to interrogate them</li><li>
Triangulate across MMM, MTA, and Geo Lift to form a unified, defensible view of channel performance. Reconciling conflicting signals is a core part of this job</li></ul>
Reporting, Insights &amp; Data Enablement<ul><li>
Own Tableau reporting: build and update production-grade dashboards for marketing performance, funnel analytics, and conversion tracking</li><li>
Go beyond reporting: proactively surface non-obvious insights, identify conversion levers, and build a roadmap of testing ideas</li><li>
Ensure data quality, accessibility, and the democratization of data across the organization</li><li>
Build self-serve tools and datasets that empower non-analysts to answer their own questions; champion data quality and governance across the team</li><li>
Write complex SQL daily; own data quality end-to-end across projects &mdash; training data, test sets, experiment inputs</li></ul>
Requirements<ul><li>
5&ndash;8+ years in marketing data science or analytics; 2+ years managing a team</li><li>
Deep MMM &amp; MTA experience: vendor management, output interrogation, triangulation</li><li>
Independent Geo Lift / incrementality test design and analysis</li><li>
Expert SQL; Python or R</li><li>
Strong stats &amp; ML foundation: regression, classification, time series, experimentation</li><li>
Production-grade Tableau</li><li>
Communicates complex findings clearly to non-technical executives</li><li>
Self-starter; thrives in ambiguity; growth mindset</li></ul>
Compensation:<ul><li>
Base Salary Range: $190,000 - $225,000</li><li>
Management Bonus: 30% of annual earnings</li><li>

Director, Data Science - Marketing

<div>About the Role
We&rsquo;re seeking a Senior Manager, Organic Growth Strategy, to help define and evolve how A Place for Mom drives organic acquisition and product-led growth in an increasingly AI-mediated discovery landscape. This is a strategic, product-embedded leadership role responsible for shaping organic growth direction across products.
Traditional SEO remains a critical acquisition channel for our business, and this role requires deep expertise in SEO principles and mechanics. At the same time, the scope extends beyond classic SEO into AI-driven discovery, product experience, and trust signals. Success in this role is measured by the clarity of strategy, quality of decision-making, and the team&rsquo;s ability to translate discovery signals into product impact.
This role sits within Product and operates horizontally across our portfolio, partnering closely with Product, Design, Research, Data, Marketing, and Brand. You will help shape how our products are discovered, understood, trusted, and chosen &mdash; by users and AI systems &mdash; while ensuring strategy translates into actionable insights and execution.
What You&rsquo;ll Do
Own and evolve organic growth strategy<ul><li>
Define and refine the organic growth strategy across products, in partnership with senior leadership</li><li>
Design how traditional SEO, AI-driven discovery, content, and product experiences work together as a coherent system</li><li>
Identify where product and platform investments unlock durable organic acquisition and reduce reliance on paid channels</li></ul>
Bring deep SEO expertise into product decision-making<ul><li>
Apply strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, including technical SEO, information architecture, authority signals, internal linking, indexing, and performance, to strategic prioritization</li><li>
Interpret algorithm shifts and discovery changes to inform product direction and risk mitigation</li><li>
Ensure SEO and discovery considerations are embedded in product planning, not treated as downstream optimization</li></ul> 
Lead strategy in an AI-mediated discovery landscape<ul><li>
Develop and articulate a clear point of view on how AI-driven discovery intersects with traditional search principles</li><li>
Translate emerging external shifts into internal guidance, guardrails, and prioritization</li><li>
Partner with Design and Research to ensure trust, comprehension, and authority are embedded in product experiences</li></ul> 
Drive opportunity sizing and prioritization<ul><li>

Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, Researchers, Engineers, Marketing, and Brand leaders</li><li>

Facilitate structured conversations around ambiguous, cross-domain challenges</li></ul> 
Build and scale organic growth capability<ul><li>
Mentor and guide discovery-focused practitioners as the team grows</li><li>
Help define roles, priorities, and operating rhythms for organic growth and discovery work</li><li>
Contribute to hiring decisions and onboarding as additional capacity is added</li><li>
Over time, assume direct management responsibility for organic discovery roles as the team structure evolves</li></ul>
What You Bring<ul><li>
8&ndash;12+ years of experience in SEO, organic growth, product strategy, or related roles</li><li>
Demonstrated depth in SEO fundamentals and a track record of influencing product decisions through search insights</li><li>
Experience managing or mentoring other practitioners</li><li>
Strong understanding of how technical SEO, content strategy, and product architecture drive organic performance</li><li>
Analytical strength and comfort working with evolving, ambiguous data sets</li><li>
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders</li><li>
Bonus: experience with AI-driven discovery, marketplaces, or trust-sensitive domains</li></ul>
