Overview The Child Care Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a child care facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This leadership role involves managing staff, developing curriculum, and maintaining compliance with state regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in education administration and a passion for fostering the growth and development of young learners.Duties<ul><li>Lead and manage all aspects of the child care program, including staffing, budgeting, and curriculum development.</li><li>Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding child care facilities.</li><li>Develop and implement educational programs that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in children.</li><li>Supervise and support teaching staff through regular evaluations, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.</li><li>Foster positive relationships with parents and families to encourage their involvement in the child care program.</li><li>Maintain a safe and clean environment for children and staff while promoting health and safety standards.</li><li>Collaborate with community organizations to enhance resources available to families.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Higher education teaching experience is preferred to effectively guide educators in their professional growth.</li><li>Strong background in education administration to manage the operational aspects of the facility efficiently.</li><li>University experience that provides insight into educational best practices and policies.</li><li>Proven teaching skills that demonstrate an understanding of child development principles.</li><li>Experience working with students of various ages to create inclusive learning environments tailored to individual needs.
