AAMCO Milwaukie is seeking a top-tier Auto Mechanic / Automotive Technician to join our high-volume service center. We are a comprehensive car repair facility handling full-service engine repairs, advanced drivability issues, and general total car care. 
 
Crucially: This position does NOT require transmission rebuilding experience. We handle the internal bench-work. We need a master of vehicle systems who takes pride in diagnostic accuracy and quality heavy-line repairs. We are highly interested in service technicians with a strong background in engine rebuilding, timing chains, and engine diagnostics.

Drivetrain &amp; R&amp;I: Remove and install automatic, manual, and CVT transmissions smoothly and accurately.</li><li>
Maintain Flow: Help guide B and C level car mechanics when complex physical repairs require collaboration.</li><li>
Customer Trust: Work alongside our service writers to document precise diagnoses for accurate estimates.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Experience: 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience (Independent shop or Dealership).</li><li>
Skill Profile: Strong diagnostic capability and heavy mechanical repair skills (Engine repair background highly preferred).</li><li>
Certifications: Active ASE Certifications are heavily favored (ASE Master Tech status earns top-tier pay).</li><li>
Tooling: Ownership of a professional-grade toolset to independently tackle high-level repairs.</li><li>

AAMCO OF FORT PIERCE / PSL FRONT OFFICE ASSISTANT AAMCO Fort Pierce is looking for a reliable, high-energy front office assistant who can handle the pace of a busy automotive shop and contribute to a professional, customer-first environment. This is not a passive receptionist role. This position is for someone who can manage flow, communicate clearly, stay organized under pressure, and show up ready to work every day.
 
SCHEDULE • Monday through Friday (full-time) • Saturday REQUIRED: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM If Saturdays are an issue, this is not the right position.
 
COMPENSATION • Starting at $18/hour • 90-day probation period • Performance-based SPIFF / bonus structure activated after probation
 
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR • Answering phones with professionalism and urgency • Greeting customers and setting the tone when they walk in • Checking in vehicles accurately (mileage, condition, customer concerns, documentation) • Photographing vehicles during intake for documentation and internal records • Managing paperwork, repair orders, and daily workflow • Communicating clearly with service advisors and technicians • Keeping the front office clean, structured, and organized • Assisting with customer updates and general shop coordination
 
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR • Someone who shows up on time, every time • Strong phone etiquette and communication skills • Able to type efficiently and accurately for notes, repair orders, and customer communication • Comfortable using a smartphone and mobile apps for photos, messaging, and workflow tools • Ability to handle a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment • Social maturity – you know how to talk to people and represent a business • Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable • Automotive or parts experience is a plus, but not required
