We&rsquo;re seeking a creative, detail-oriented Landscape Designer to develop conceptual and construction-level plans, produce planting and hardscape designs, coordinate with clients and contractors, and support project delivery from concept through installation. This position is a freelance position. Compensation determined per project.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Key Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li>
Meet with clients to understand goals, site constraints, budget, and timeline.</li><li>
Produce conceptual designs, schematic plans, planting plans, grading and drainage plans, material/specification documents, and construction details.</li><li>
Create presentation materials: sketches, renderings, mood boards, planting palettes, and detailed CAD or BIM drawings.</li><li>
Prepare cost estimates, scope documents, and bid packages; assist with project proposals.</li><li>
Coordinate with landscape architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure constructability and design intent.</li><li>
Conduct site analyses and site visits during design and oversee during construction phases.</li><li>
Incorporate sustainable practices (water-wise design, native planting, stormwater management) and adhere to local codes and permitting requirements.</li><li>
Maintain project records, schedules, and client communications.</li></ul><div><br>
<b>
Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li>
3-5 years&rsquo; landscape design experience (firm, contractor, or design-build preferred).</li><li>
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Vectorworks, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or Rhino; experience with 3D rendering preferred.</li><li>
Strong plant knowledge, planting and hardscape design skills, installation practices, understanding of construction detailing, and working with hardscape products.</li><li>
Excellent graphic, presentation, written, verbal communication skills, and strong sales ability.</li><li>
Organized, self-motivated, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license and ability to perform site visits.</li></ul><div><br>
<b>
Preferred:</b></div><ul><li>
Experience with specification writing, cost estimating, and construction administration.</li><li>
Familiarity with sustainable certification programs and permaculture/low-impact design principles.</li></ul><br>
