Shift Leader Trainees are hired and trained to move into the role of Shift Leader, typically within 90 days. Shift Leader Trainees should increase store wine and spirits sales by providing a high level of personalized service with Guests and Team Members, and performing the following duties<div></div><div>
Responsibilities:</div><ul><li><div>
Serve as Manager on Duty in training, open and close the store, and assist the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in overseeing store operations.</div></li><li><div>
Greet each Guest upon entry and provide prompt, friendly, and engaging service throughout their visit.</div></li><li><div>
Operate a Point-of-Sale terminal to process Guest transactions, including accurate cash handling, accepting other forms of tender, and applying coupons or discounts per company procedures; also handle opening and closing functions including reconciliation.</div></li><li><div>
Stay current on required training, company policies, and product knowledge to ensure compliance and provide an informed, high-quality Guest experience.</div></li><li><div>
Train, coach, and direct other sales associates when acting as Manager on Duty in training to promote exceptional customer service and ensure adherence to store operation procedures.</div></li><li><div>
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the store, including the sales floor, stockroom, Team Member areas (e.g., lockers and kitchen), and customer-facing spaces such as restrooms.</div></li><li><div>
Assist with daily property upkeep by sweeping and removing debris inside the store and in exterior areas such as parking lots and walkways, collecting shopping carts, emptying trash, and performing routine restroom cleaning.</div></li><li><div>
Provide wrapping service for ABC products, assemble custom gift baskets, and offer carryout service when needed.</div></li><li><div>
Unload and put away weekly truck deliveries. Merchandise and display product on store shelves and in beer coolers per Operational Guidelines, restocking from stockrooms as needed.</div></li><li><div>
Perform other tasks/projects as assigned by store management.</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Minimum Qualifications:</div><ul><li><div>
Must be 21 years of age or older.</div></li><li><div>
High School Diploma or GED.</div></li><li><div>
At least 6 months of proven experience and/or training in a management or leadership role; at least 2 years of education from a college or technical school in Business Management or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</div></li><li><div>
The ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs demand.</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
General Requirements:<br>
Maintain regular and predictable onsite attendance: All Team Members are expected to report<br>
to work as scheduled and remain onsite for the duration of their shifts. Reliable onsite attendance<br>
is an essential function of the job to ensure operational success and consistent service for our<br>
Guests.</div><div></div><div>

Continuously: Standing and moving about for extended periods (up to 8 hours or more).</div></li><li><div>
Frequently: Bending, lifting, and twisting (BLT) to move product and assist with merchandising.</div></li><li><div>
Frequently: Lifting and/or transporting up to 40 lbs. throughout the store and stockroom.</div></li><li><div>
Occasionally: Overhead lifting to place or retrieve items from high shelves.</div></li><li><div>
Occasionally: Use of ladders and step stools to access merchandise stored at varying heights.</div></li><li><div>
Frequently: Moving between sales floor, stockroom, and exterior areas of the store.</div></li></ul><div></div><div>

Frequently: Visually inspect product labels, signage, and displays to ensure accuracy and presentation.</div></li><li><div>
Frequently: Detect and respond to visual cues such as Guest gestures, product placement, or safety hazards.</div></li></ul><div></div><div>

Occasionally: Working in or with elevated locations and tools (e.g., ladders, stockroom).</div></li><li><div>
Occasionally: Exposure to outdoor weather conditions while maintaining the property or assisting Guests.</div></li><li><div>
Occasionally: Exposure to fumes or airborne particles when using cleaning solutions or supplies.</div></li><li><div>
Occasionally: Exposure to refrigerated temperatures (32&ndash;41&ordm;F) when stocking or retrieving product in the cooler.</div></li><li><div>
