<div>The Senior Producer, Prime leads political interviews and coverage, as well as high profile interviews, for ABC News Live&rsquo;s evening news program, Prime with Linsey Davis. This role partners closely with the Prime anchor and Executive Producer on major editorial initiatives and collaborates across the news division, particularly Specialized Units and Booking, to develop impactful, scalable content, including longform storytelling.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Lead all political interviews and coverage for Prime, along with select highprofile interviews of cultural and social significance.</li><li>
Work closely with the Prime anchor and Executive Producer on marquee editorial initiatives and special projects.</li><li>
Collaborate across ABC News to develop largescale stories with longform and crossplatform potential.</li><li>
Often oversees Prime anchor&rsquo;s taped pieces, managing editorial development and execution.</li><li>
Partner with Prime producers to shape content across the full broadcast.</li><li>
Write and edit scripts and interview material for both live television and taped segments.</li><li>
Perform seniorlevel control room duties, including leading the newscast when needed.</li><li>
Play a critical control room role during major event coverage and breaking news nights.</li></ul>
Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>
Minimum 5 years experience producing live television news and highprofile interviews.</li><li>
Exceptional writing skills for both live broadcast and taped content.</li><li>
Strong editorial judgment and the ability to lead under deadline pressure.</li><li>
Demonstrated proficiency in live TV production and control room operations.</li><li>
Deep knowledge of politics and current events.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
Broad understanding of pop culture, entertainment, and social media, reflecting the range of interviews and stories featured on Prime.</li><li>
Experience collaborating across teams and divisions on largescale editorial projects.</li><li>

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $194,300 to $260,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate&rsquo;s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.</div>

Senior Producer, ABC News Live Prime

<div>ABC News Studios is seeking a highly organized, editorially curious Production Associate to support premium long-form storytelling across documentaries, narrative non-fiction, and news specials. This role is critical to the day-to-day execution of projects&mdash;supporting productions from development through post-production while maintaining flexibility to pivot to breaking-news features when needed.
ABC News Studios is the long-form, non-fiction production arm of ABC News, producing acclaimed content for Hulu, ABC Network, Disney+, and National Geographic. Our teams are driven by journalistic integrity, creative ambition, and a passion for impactful storytelling.
What You Will Do<ul><li>
Support large-scale, long-form productions across all stages of development, production, and post-production under tight deadlines</li><li>
Coordinate and organize field shoots, including logistics, schedules, media management, and reporting needs</li><li>
Research, log, and manage video, audio, stills, and editorial content for multiple concurrent projects</li><li>
Create and maintain organizational systems to support long-term productions and evolving editorial needs</li><li>
Work closely with producers, editors, and senior production staff to ensure projects move forward efficiently</li><li>
Assist editors directly by preparing materials, tracking media, and supporting post-production workflows</li><li>
Contribute story ideas and assist with narrative development for long-form and breaking-news features</li><li>

Basic Qualifications<ul><li>
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a newsroom, production, or documentary environment</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to work under deadline in a fast-paced, editorially driven setting</li><li>
Strong organizational, administrative, and multitasking skills</li><li>
Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively</li><li>
Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>
Prior experience supporting news or documentary productions</li><li>
Working knowledge of newsroom and production tools such as Galaxy and Concur</li><li>
Familiarity with archival research, digital resources, and media management systems</li><li>
Knowledge of ABC News content, platforms, and the evolving streaming landscape</li></ul>
Required Education

Production Associate, ABC News Studios

Ever wonder what it&rsquo;s like to work in a fast-paced national news bureau? The ABC News Los Angeles Bureau plays a critical role in covering everything from breaking news to entertainment events and live specials across the Western United States.
As an intern, you&rsquo;ll gain hands-on experience in a real-time newsroom environment, supporting newsgathering and production across broadcast, digital, and affiliate platforms. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of coverage&mdash;from red carpets and major trials to extreme weather and high-profile breaking news events.
This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Los Angeles, California area from June 2026&ndash;January 2027.
What You Will Do:
You will support multiple ABC News platforms, including the Assignment Desk, News Services (ABC&rsquo;s TV Affiliate News Service), and ABC News Radio. Responsibilities may include:
Bureau &amp; Field Production<ul><li>
Assisting producers in the field on breaking news and feature stories</li><li>
Conducting research, pre-interviews, and background prep for shoots</li><li>
Helping coordinate logistics for field crews, including gear, travel, and timing</li><li>
Shadowing live shots and learning how correspondents and crews prepare for air</li><li>
Participating in one-on-one shadowing opportunities with correspondents and MPRs (multi-platform reporters)</li></ul>
Assignment Desk<ul><li>
Monitoring news wires, social media, scanners, and local outlets for breaking news</li><li>
Assisting with story tracking, logging, and editorial coordination</li><li>
Pitching stories, research, making editorial calls, logging video feeds and transcribing tapes</li><li>
Collaborating with ABC stations and affiliates across the region</li></ul>
Editorial<ul><li>
Pitching story ideas and contributing to editorial discussions</li><li>
Booking interviews and coordinating guest logistics</li><li>
Writing digital articles and assisting with ABC News Digital content</li><li>
Supporting social media coverage for major events and breaking news</li><li>
Assisting with scripts, notes, and production materials</li></ul>

Eligibility Requirements &amp; Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:<ul><li>
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.</li><li>
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.</li><li>
Be at least 18 years of age</li><li>
Possess unrestricted work authorization</li></ul>
