High School Vice Principal

Primary Purpose:

Science teachers help middle and high school learners understand scientific phenomena. They create engaging lessons, explain complex concepts simply, and enrich classroom time by using experiments. Science Teachers encourage students to be curious and to have respect for the natural world. 


Responsibilities:

<li>Designing, developing, and delivering quality lesson plans and curricula that adhere to national and school guidelines.</li>
<li>Drawing up suitable assessments and delivering helpful feedback to students, parents, and other teachers.</li>

School Counselors provide students with guidance and support in dealing with an array of issues such as personal, academic, parental, or social pressures.

REPORTS TO: HEAD LIFEGUARD, OR AQUATIC DIRECTOR/SUPERVISOR 
Primary Functions:
Responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patron by preventing and responding to emergencies. 
 
Key Responsibilities of a Lifeguard include:
<ul><li>Recognize and respond effectively in emergency.
</li><li>Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulation.
</li><li>Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor.
</li><li>Participate in regular in-service training sessions.

</li><li>Prevent injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors.

<li>Advises and counsels students regarding academic, scheduling, career and college planning.</li>
<li>Remains universally accessible and makes an effort to know every student for whom they are responsible.</li>
<li>Provides individual student planning and responsive services to support students and their families regarding academic matters.</li>
<li>Teaches College preparatory classes and provides college and career counseling to students through planned activities in small group or classroom settings to convey educational and important school information, and offers workshops/seminars for parents.</li>
<li>Consults facilitates and maintains communication with parents, teachers, administrators, and pertinent agents on specific student and parent academic and educational matters including academic modifications and/or accommodations.</li>

<li>Assists students/parents in understanding school policies and procedures, and advised on suitable academic tracks.</li>
<li>Supports and attends appropriate student activities and events.</li>
<li>Evaluating students&rsquo; abilities and interests through aptitude assessments, interviews, and individual planning.</li>
<li>Identifying issues that affect school performance, such as poor classroom attendance rates.</li>
<li>Working with students to develop skills, such as organizational and time management abilities and effective study habits.</li>

<li>Assists HS administration in scheduling and roster compilation. Adjusts student schedules according to needs and directives.</li>

Qualifications:

<li>Master&rsquo;s Degree in Counseling/Guidance, Education, or Social Work if available</li>
<li>Minimum of 2 years of school or collegiate counseling or teaching experience</li>
<li>Knowledge of multiple counseling approaches</li>
<li>Familiarity with online learning platforms</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>

Job Purpose: 


Perform receptionist duties, including answering calls, greeting students and visitors and directing them to the appropriate location on campus, providing general information, and assisting with other various clerical support activities 


Duties:

<ul><li>Provide accurate information and referrals obtained from a variety of sources to field questions from the public regarding school operations, departments and programs, phone numbers, operational hours, events, etc.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Operate complex digital telephone system to relay incoming and intra-system telephone calls</li></ul>
<ul><li>Greet visitors and direct them to appropriate personnel or department</li></ul>
<ul><li>Provide parents/guests with general information about registration, testing, counseling, etc., and refer to appropriate person or department</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintain various voice messages associated with events, holidays and school closings</li></ul>
<ul><li>Update and maintain school directory and other resources to ensure accurate dispensing of information; including website</li></ul>
<ul><li>Receive mail and packages on behalf of the institution; open, sort and route mail to the appropriate personnel or department</li></ul>
<ul><li>Answer routine questions about telephone and voice mailbox operation; report communication/computer problems to supervisor</li></ul>
