<div>We are seeking a Medicaid Specialist who will play a vital role in the firm by working closely with clients to plan for and submit an individual&rsquo;s Medicaid application for long-term care assistance. The position requires a resourceful, self-directed team player capable of handling multiple tasks, including research, meeting with and communicating with clients via email/phone, collecting required application materials, and drafting documents. This is an in-office position. 
 
Responsibilities: 
 
The goal of the Medicaid Specialist is to facilitate the successful approval of an individual&rsquo;s Medicaid application. The Medicaid Specialist will be expected to learn the federal, state and county eligibility guidelines for Medicaid long-term care benefits. The position requires detailed attention to project management as well as providing the best possible experience for the client.<ul><li>
Responsible for strategic Medicaid eligibility planning and management of a caseload of 20-40 Applicants</li><li>
Facilitate the onboarding of new clients by reviewing their Intake Questionnaire, completing financial calculations, and conducting the client Intake call</li><li>
Assess the Applicant&rsquo;s household and financial situation to identify the best path to eligibility</li><li>
Oversee all client requests and ensure that the client&rsquo;s needs and questions are responded to in a timely manner</li><li>
Work with the client, and other team members, to develop and implement a comprehensive eligibility strategy</li><li>
Conduct state and county-specific research related to Medicaid application procedures</li><li>
Collect required Medicaid documents from the client (pdfs, jpegs, and other electronic files)</li><li>
Complete forms, draft documents and submit required application paperwork</li><li>
Schedule appointments utilizing Google Calendar</li><li>
Delegate and manage tasks for the Administrative Assistant</li><li>
Communicate directly with Medicaid agencies and caseworker</li><li>
Follow company policies to ensure client information is transmitted securely</li><li>
Attend weekly team meetings to stay informed about processes and procedures</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
A high school diploma or equivalent degree is required</li><li>
Experience and knowledge of Medicaid eligibility and long-term care benefits are strongly preferred</li><li>
Prior Medicaid knowledge of filing and processing Medicaid applications</li><li>
Prior history with Medicaid fair hearing proceedings</li><li>
Knowledge of Medicaid guidelines and timetables</li><li>
Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently</li><li>
Experience with understanding financial statements, financial assets, and bank statements and work in Microsoft excel strongly preferred</li><li>
Professional written and verbal skills are essential when communicating with client</li><li>
A resourceful and proactive problem solver</li><li>
Ability to work well with a team to promote company initiatives</li></ul>
