Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) At AC Dentistry, our Dental Assistants are valued members of our dental care team, assisting in providing quality oral care to our patients. As a Dental Assistant on our team, you will help with setting up rooms, sterilizing equipment, preparing patients, and conduct some dental hygiene tasks. A successful Dental Assistant utilizes interpersonal, technical, and patient care skills in the execution of her/his job.Following is a general list of duties and responsibilities required of a Dental Assistant:&middot; Prepare clinical area for dental cleanings and/or examinations, including sterilizing and disinfecting chairs and instruments, setting up instrument trays and preparing materials&middot; Taking and developing dental X-rays&middot; Discussing and collecting patient medical history to understand potential areas for dental concerns&middot; Providing patients with instructions on oral care following dental treatment&middot; Education patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to perpetuate and maintain optimal oral health&middot; Creating dental impressions for study casts&middot; Maintaining dental supply and equipment inventory&middot; Cleaning clinical area on a rotating schedule&middot; Maintain a patient-focused mentality, fostering a welcoming environment for pediatric patients, ensuring patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental appointments&middot; Additional tasks, as needed by managementMinimum Requirements&middot; Certification or associate degree from an accredited dental assistance program&middot; Dental x-ray certification&middot; High school diploma (or equivalent)&middot; Experience using Windows-based computer for data entry&middot; Professional written and verbal communication skills&middot; Ability to provide great patient careJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development assistance</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Goodlettsville, TN 37072 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Goodlettsville, TN 37072: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
