 About the Role:
 
 We&rsquo;re hiring a software engineer to build and scale
 
 the Acceldata Open Data Platform (ODP)
 
 - an enterprise-grade, open-source, aligned platform that powers cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. You&rsquo;ll work on deep technology challenges, from distributed systems to observability, helping global customers modernise their platforms without lock-in.
 
 
 This role offers the opportunity to build cutting-edge data solutions, influence the open-source ecosystem, and collaborate with industry experts. Your contributions will have a lasting impact on both the data platform and the broader open-source community.
 
 
 
 What You&rsquo;ll Do
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Build end-to-end observability: health, quality, lineage, cost, and anomaly detection for enterprise data stacks.
 </li>
 <li>
 4+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2-3 years actively contributing to open-source projects, ideally within the Apache ecosystem.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Scala, or Go is preferred. Experience with distributed computing and high-performance applications is also highly desired.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work across diverse environments: Hadoop, Kubernetes, Snowflake, Databricks, and multi-cloud platforms.

 As a Principal Product Manager
 
 
 
 You'll play a key role in setting the near term goals and long term strategy for the whole product. You'll lead collaboration efforts with cross functional teams to deliver product success. You'll build a coherent product narrative that ties together all of the strands of a product or set of features into a coherent whole. You'll be the go-to person for all strategic and tactical concerns on the product and business area and drive decisions to resolution.
 
 
 
 A day in the life of Principal Product Manager
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Work with cross functional teams and key stake holders to develop product vision, roadmap and design.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with a team of 20+ engineers to plan and execute the product roadmap.
 </li>
 <li>
 Drive the product strategy for the sub-group.
 </li>
 <li>
 Mentor the Product managers by providing deep understanding of the overall product strategy, provide high level insights from formative research, market gaps or cutting edge technical insights.
 </li>
 <li>
 Drive the broader roadmap with a view beyond the next 12 months
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 You are a great fit for this role if you have
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
 </li>
 <li>
 15+ years of experience in Product Development setup, with at least 8+ years of experience in Product Management.
 </li>
 <li>
 5+ years of Enterprise Data Product experience as a PM.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in full cycle Product Management ( Ideation to Launch )- track record of delivering successful products and features, all the way through to adoption
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience leading Cross functional collaboration efforts.
 </li>
 <li>
 Deep technical understanding of the product and the complexities involved in building the product.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong business acumen.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent articulation and presentation skills- ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex topics to diverse stakeholders (engineers, customers, etc.) in written and verbal form.
 </li>
 <li>
 Deep understanding of databases, data processing platforms, analytics tools and machine learning platforms.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to think rigorously and make hard decisions and trade-offs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and have a curiosity to learn the domain at a deep level.
 </li>
 <li>
 Developing a high level of autonomy and responsibility while encouraging a healthy work environment.
