Window Covering/Exterior Anwing Sales/Design COMMISSION Consultant &ndash; Outside SalesFULL JOB DESCRIPTION:Location: Houston and surrounding citiesOver the course of our 34-year history, Accent Windows has become affiliated with leading national retailers and manufacturers of quality custom made blinds, shades, shutters, and drapes. We help transform our client's homes and work places by offering a wide variety of products that add beauty and comfort to every space.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for working closely with our retail partners and their Shop-at-Home program leads to close sales for custom shutters, blinds, and shades. This role requires frequent day travel within an assigned territory. The responsibilities are as follows:<ul><li>Conduct In-Home sales consultations while educating customers about the best window-covering selections for their home.</li><li>Measure, record and configure specifications accurately and efficiently.</li><li>Successfully close appointments by demonstrating our quality products, and by building trust and credibility.</li><li>Finalize sales by submitting orders on behalf of customers.</li><li>Be flexible to the needs of the business, including appointment scheduling, time off requests, attending team meetings and training.</li><li>Live our Core Values of Integrity, One Team, Excellence, Superior Client Experience and Passion, to Delight our customers.</li><li>Understand and execute Company operating policies and procedures.</li></ul>Attributes For Success<ul><li>Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Quick learner who is adaptable, self- reliant, resourceful and handles competing priorities.</li><li>Understands and carries out oral and written instructions and requests clarification when needed.</li><li>Expresses thoughts, ideas, concerns in a positive, respectful, and productive manner.</li><li>Works independently, but also functions well as part of a team.</li></ul>What Accent Offers<ul><li>Valuable hands-on experience with big box retailers: focused on selling and customer service.</li><li>You'll receive training and be provided with state-of-the-art tools, including product samples, and other resources necessary for your success at no cost to you.</li><li>Commision based</li><li>Flexible schedule &ndash; needing 5 total workdays. Can be weekdays or weekends.</li></ul>Requirements:What We&rsquo;re Looking ForPreferred<ul><li>1-3 years of previous related work experience preferred.</li><li>Good communication/presentation skills</li><li>Excel in a high-pressure work environment that demands careful and meticulous attention to detail with emphasis on multi-tasking and prioritizing.</li><li>Some experience on color in the home and love of interior design; previous window treatment experience a plus</li><li>Must have excellent soft personal skills in addition to selling and window covering knowledge.</li><li>Ability to assess jobsite and identify the best solutions (squareness of windows, installation or operating obstacles, application conditions, etc.)</li><li>Ability to use a tape or digital measure and provide accurate dimensions for quoting and ordering.</li></ul>Required<ul><li>A bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a related field preferred.</li><li>High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.</li><li>Availability to work full-time five days per week.</li><li>Proficient with MS Office, mobile devices, email, CRM, and the ability to learn and use new apps.</li><li>Can drive within canvassing areas and accommodate longer drive times to meet the needs of clients outside of assigned area.</li><li>Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of insurance.</li><li>Can lift and carry up to 35 pounds.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $54,000.00 - $84,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>customer service: 2 years (Required)</li><li>outside sales: 2 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: On the road
