Field Assessor / Property Inspector &ndash; Central &amp; Southern WisconsinCompany Vision: Accurate engages employees to collaborate, educate, and deliver the most reliable and transparent assessment solutions through innovation, communication, and technology.As a leading and growing assessing firm in Wisconsin, we are looking for a motivated and talented person to join our family and live our Core Values of:We are Family | Always Transparent | Embrace Growth &amp; Innovation | Be Admirable | We are a boatload of funGeneral PurposeUnder the supervision of the Field Staff Manager, gathers real estate assessment data, performs inspections and other tasks related to property assessment and assessor property records; Primary work will be in field and/or virtual phone calls with property owners to verify data related to building permits; performs related work as required or assigned.Location/Travel RequirementsThis position is approximately 70%+ travel and can work remotely within the state of Wisconsin. The primary areas of travel will be from central Wisconsin and south, however travel throughout the state is expected. The travel portion is related to performing field work in the form of home inspections, and the amount of travel is dependent on the location of the employee. Overnight travel is approximately 50% of the position but can vary depending on the location of the employee. The non-Field portion will include answering Open Book calls/emails and participating in the customer experience portion of the business. Some office work (Appleton, WI) may be required.Typical Duties<ul><li>Search physical and electronic records for information and disburse information</li><li>Perform field work related to gathering data to determine property values</li><li>Take pictures, make sketches/diagrams of real estate parcels and buildings.</li><li>Review property values and discuss assessments with property owners</li><li>Process documents to update and maintain parcel files, property ownership, and records for appraisal section</li><li>Assist in identifying and resolving errors in legal descriptions and ownership</li><li>Process appropriate instruments to complete splits or combination of parcels</li><li>Answer incoming calls; receive, sort, file and retrieve forms, correspondence and documents</li><li>Update, check and complete records, forms and documents</li><li>Operate a variety of office equipment; attend open books and board of reviews for municipalities</li><li>Be assigned as Statutory Assessor for municipalities; attend and present at Board of Review meetings</li><li>Attend Open Books and Board of Review when needed</li></ul>Minimum QualificationsMust successfully complete a &ldquo;Assessor-1 Certification&rdquo; course within one (1) month of employment if not currently qualified and an Assessor-2 Certification within (3) months; must possess and maintain a valid Wisconsin driver's license.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES: Microsoft Office programs | Wisconsin property tax system | Legal descriptions &amp; county websitesSkill in:Computers/Technology, specifically modern laptops | Customer service/maintaining customer relationships | CommunicationAbility to:Efficient with a computer | Effective in time management and meeting deadlines | Communicate effectively with Customer, Team and Manager | Prepare reports | Perform clerical tasks with efficiency, accuracy and understanding | Make accurate mathematical computations | Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the publicJob Type: Full-timePay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Bereavement leave</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>10 hour shift</li><li>8 hour shift</li><li>Day shift</li><li>Monday to Friday</li></ul>Supplemental Pay:<ul><li>Bonus opportunities</li></ul>Work Location: On the road
