<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Position Overview:</b></h2>
<p>We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Manager to oversee all procurement activities. This role involves managing the purchasing of AV and other products, equipment, and materials&mdash;both stocked and non-stocked&mdash;ensuring timely delivery, optimal inventory levels, cost efficiency, and supplier performance. The ideal candidate will bring experience in the AV industry or a related technical field, strong negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to procurement planning.</p>
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></h2>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Procurement &amp; Purchasing</b></h3>
<ul><li>Source and purchase AV products and components based on project requirements, stock levels, and client needs.</li>
<li>Manage procurement of both stocked (warehouse) and non-stocked (project-specific or just-in-time) items.</li>
<li>Issue and manage purchase orders (POs), ensuring accurate product specifications, pricing, and lead times.</li>
<li>Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Inventory &amp; Stock Management</b></h3>
<ul><li>Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels for stocked items in coordination with warehouse and sales teams.</li>
<li>Forecast demand based on historical data, upcoming projects, and sales input.</li>
<li>Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of inventory.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Warehouse Staff Management</b></h3>
<ul><li>Supervise, train, and coordinate warehouse personnel to ensure efficient inventory handling and order fulfillment.</li>
<li>Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance to maintain productivity, accuracy, and safety standards.</li>
<li>Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to reinforce company policies, operational procedures, and safety protocols.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Supplier Management</b></h3>
<ul><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and distributors.</li>
<li>Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings and service improvements.</li>
<li>Evaluate supplier performance regularly based on quality, delivery time, and responsiveness.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Cross-functional Coordination</b></h3>
<ul><li>Work closely with sales, project managers, and technical teams to anticipate procurement needs and adjust purchasing plans accordingly.</li>
<li>Provide lead-time and cost estimates for upcoming bids or customer proposals.</li>
<li>Resolve any supply chain issues, such as backorders, substitutions, or quality discrepancies.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Reporting &amp; Analysis</b></h3>
<ul><li>Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.</li>
<li>Analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and process improvements.</li>
<li>Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and inventory levels.</li>
</ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Qualifications:</b></h2>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Required:</b></h3>
<ul><li>Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or Buyer, preferably in the Audio Visual or related technical/electronics industry.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of supply chain, purchasing processes, and inventory management.</li>
<li>Proficiency in ERP or procurement systems (e.g., iPoint, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.) preferably iPoint.</li>
<li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Preferred:</b></h3>
<ul><li>Technical understanding of AV products and systems.</li>
<li>Experience with just-in-time procurement and vendor-managed inventory (VMI).</li>
<li>Familiarity with import/export and logistics processes.</li>
</ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Physical Requirements:</b></h2>
<ul><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.</li>
<li>While performing the duties of this role, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear- possibly for prolonged periods at a time.</li>
<li>The team member may be required to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.</li>
