<div>The General Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, HVAC, and electrical work.
Pay Rate: $31.20 per hour total compensation
Essential Job Functions:<ul><li>
Using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings</li><li>
Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets</li><li>
Painting structures and equipment</li><li>
Repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks</li><li>
Replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles</li><li>
Repairing and installing door closers and door locks</li><li>
Performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery</li><li>
Maintenance of Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.</li><li>
Maintenance of concrete and asphalt roads, parking lots and sidewalks.</li>
Other duties as assigned.

</li></ul>Required Skills, Experience, and Education:<ul><li>
High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>
2 years recent experience (within past 5 years) in building operations and maintenance or in an occupation such as a general mechanic</li><li>
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)</li><li>
Strong organizational skills</li><li>
Ability to multi-task</li><li>
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions</li><li>
Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail applications</li><li>
Ability to organize and prioritize job duties and assignments</li><li>
Ability to work in a team environment</li><li>
Ability to work independently</li><li>
Ability to effectively utilize available resources to maximize productivity</li><li>
Ability to interpret miscellaneous drawings and schematics</li><li>
Ability to follow direction</li></ul>

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception.
Working Environment:
Work takes place in a commercial facility. May be exposed to weather when servicing rooftop units, etc. May be exposed to loud noises, heat, dust, and fumes due to equipment and machinery.</div>
