Position Summary</b><b>:</b></p>
<p>
He/ She shall be responsible for overall field implementation, coordination and monitoring of the FAO project activities.</p><p><br>
<b>Organizational Setting:</b></p>
<p>
AFH is implementing community outreach activities following structured learning process based on the Farmer Field School (FFS) approach to encourage collective problem solving, demand-led and locally appropriate responses that blend traditional and improved scientifically proven adaptation options.</p><p><br>
<b>Reporting Line:</b></p>
<p>
The incumbent will work under the overall supervision of Programme Coordinator and shall be based at district Bahawalpur, Punjab. The direct supervisor or as assigned, will be responsible for all day-to-day supervision, technical guidance and the performance evaluation.</p><br>
<p></p>
<p><b>
Technical Focus:</b></p>
<p>
The incumbent will provide relevant technical assistance for efficient implementation of the Livestock Team to develop animal health, feed, fodder crop and AIl data collection network and help in analyzing the data to prepare recommendations for farmers.</p><p><br>
<b>Tasks and Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Assist to develop animal health, feed, fodder crop and data collection network and help in analyzing the data to prepare recommendations for farmers;</li>
<li>Directly supervise and guide dairy stakeholders and private sector for dairy development activities related to animal feeding, dairy husbandry, breeding and genetic improvement, and overall management of dairy farms.</li>
<li>Design and develop training modules tailored to Livestock Farmer Field Schools LFFS on local livestock farming practices, including animal health, nutrition, breeding, and waste management.</li>
<li>Prepare extension material and other technical themes as needed to LFFS.</li>
<li>Conduct regular assessments of livestock practices and LFFS in the field to identify challenges and opportunities for improvement.</li>
<li>Coordinate with local IP, agricultural organizations, extension workers, and community leaders to promote the LFFS initiative and encourage participation.</li>
<li>Provide training and supervision for field staff in extension work, especially on animal feeding, fodder crops, rearing of calves and heifers, animal health, cattle housing and genetic potential base of dairy cows.</li>
<li>Synthesize lessons learned and best practices gained during the program implementation in collaboration with the program team and feed those into the discussions with other stakeholders.</li>
<li>Report on the progress of work/program and signal in advance problems that may hamper such progress.</li>
<li>Ensure the implementation of the Project activities according to the work plan.</li></ul><br>

<p><b>
Qualification and Experience:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Master Degree in any relevant field including Social Sciences, Project Management and Animal health</li>
<li>Mandatory knowledge and understanding of FFS programming;</li>
<li>At least 1 year experience working on livestock management projects preferably with UN agencies.</li>
<li>Previous experience of working in South Punjab districts on FFS approach, livestock management is preferred.</li>
<li>Experience in the provision of administrative and logistical support and organization of workshops</li>
<li>Experience in research, analysis, and report writing;</li>
<li>Experience in working with government officials and non-governmental organizations;</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in working in complex working environments;</li>
<li>Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages (MS Word, Excel, Access etc.) and experience in handling web-based applications</li></ul><br>

<p><b>
Skills and Abilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Good understanding of community participation and the integration of DRR in recovery and development projects.</li>
<li>Knowledge of PSEA, Protection &amp; GBV, Gender &amp; Inclusiveness in recovery context.</li>
<li>Knowledge of low cost structural mitigation activities.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate in local languages.</li>
<li>Diplomacy, tact and administrative skills in order to work with people at managerial and occasionally, senior government levels.</li></ul><br>

Here at Action For Humanity (AFH), we are looking for a MEAL and Database Officer to join us in our Pakistan office in Bahawalpur - Ahmedpur Sharqia. You will join us on a full-time basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary depending on experience.</p>
<p>

Job Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead program department in-need assessments, baseline, end line, and post-distribution monitoring surveys in terms of forming data collection tools, sample size, and training of data collection team.</li>
<li>Conduct interviews with line departments, conduct PRA exercises, and administer questionnaires.</li>
<li>Carry out beneficiary validation exercise.</li>
<li>Ensure data quality and data consistency during data collection and data entry, manage database, and facilitate data analysis. Conduct data audit of up to 50% sample of the field data collection as well as data entered into the database by project or data entry staff and generate data audit report.</li>
<li>Draft report of surveys (baseline &amp; end line and assessments).</li>
<li>Ensure that the implementation of field activities adheres to AFH&rsquo;s monitoring and evaluation system.</li>
<li>Carry out regular and routine field monitoring of program activities and produce monitoring visit reports on the given format; conduct debriefs sessions with relevant program staff and develops an agreed action plan; and report.</li>
<li>Carry out follow-up monitoring visits to materialize actions agreed in the action plan, also maintain Monitoring-Action Plan Tracker at field level; and report to line manager.</li>
<li>To assist in planning and implementation of internal monitoring and evaluation exercises and impact assessments in terms of case/success stories and during project evaluation when needed.</li>
<li>Manage all internal evaluation activities of the base; systematically ensure the analysis of results is shared with stakeholders.</li>
<li>Ensure and support the completion of the beneficiaries&rsquo; database in coordination with the program team.</li></ul><br>

<p><b>
Qualification &amp; Experience</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Masters in Social sciences, international relations or any other related field from any HEC recognized university.</li>
<li>At least 2 Years field level experience in project monitoring.</li>
<li>Good level of spoken and written Urdu, English and local languages.</li>
<li>Excellent skills in organizing workflow, capacity to follow protocols and take own initiative.</li>
<li>Excellent ability to work as part of a team.</li>
<li>Ability to work in an environment where there are physical discomforts associated with change in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust or dirt.</li></ul><br>

<p><b>
Skills and Proficiencies:
</b></p><ul><li>Ability and willingness to autonomously travel to project site and villages when required.</li>
<li>Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions like long distance walking to work/distribution sites.</li>
<li>Excellent spoken and written local language /Urdu and English language skills.</li>
<li>Good computer skills - ability to write weekly and monthly reports and data analysis.</li></ul><br>
