<div><b>Job Summary</b></div>
<div>The Chief Building Engineer plays a key leadership role in overseeing the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all building systems within a luxury high-rise community. This position manages the on-site engineering team, coordinates vendor work, and ensures compliance with safety regulations and building standards. The ideal professional is proactive, highly skilled, and takes pride in maintaining a best-in-class residential environment.</div>

<div><b>Compensation:</b> $115,000 &ndash; $125,000 annually</div>
<div><b>Schedule: </b>Monday &ndash; Friday, 7:00 a.m. &ndash; 3:30 p.m. (with 24/7 emergency availability)</div>

<div><b>Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
</b></div><div>Lead, train, and manage the onsite engineering and maintenance team, ensuring high performance and accountability.</div>
<div>Oversee the maintenance and operation of all mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.</div>
<div>Conduct routine inspections, manage preventive maintenance programs, and ensure all systems operate at optimal efficiency.</div>
<div>Coordinate and supervise vendors and contractors, ensuring quality control and adherence to standards.</div>
<div>Assist with RFP preparation, bid evaluations, and capital improvement projects.</div>
<div>Maintain compliance with all local building codes, safety regulations, and HOA policies.</div>
<div>Respond promptly to emergencies and resident concerns with professionalism and composure.</div>
<div>Manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and supplies.</div>
<div>Foster collaboration and teamwork across all departments to ensure smooth community operations<b>.</b></div><br>

<div><b>Qualifications / Requirements</b></div>
<ul><li> Minimum 7 years of experience in building engineering or facilities management; luxury residential or high-rise experience preferred.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience leading maintenance or engineering staff.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Strong understanding of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and building automation controls.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and work order management systems.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and superior service standards.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Must be available for emergency response outside regular hours.</li></ul><br>

<div><b>Certifications/Licenses Required</b></div>
<ul><li> High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.</li></ul>
<ul><li> HVAC Certification.</li></ul>
<ul><li> EPA/608 License.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Weekly Fire Certification preferred.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Fire Life Safety Director Certificate preferred.</li></ul>
