OVERVIEW AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Operations Analyst is cross-functional project leader focused on enhancing the profitability and efficiency of the
company. This analyst role drives strategic improvement and cross-functional collaboration projects by leveraging data
analysis, process design, and performance metrics to optimize cash flow and supporting Acumen&rsquo;s long term financial
health.
Advanced Data Analysis and Reporting:<ul><li>Leverage tools like Excel and Power BI to create reports that surface insights, track trends, and support data-</li></ul>
driven decision-making, with a focus on identifying actionable opportunities for efficiency<ul><li>Setting and monitoring key performance indicators and communicating outcomes and risks</li><li>Maintaining Power BI workspaces, applications and permissions</li><li>Monitoring refresh schedules, troubleshooting issues and maintaining data integrity of existing reporting products</li></ul>
Process Evaluation:<ul><li>Serve as a strategic partner to operational teams by understanding challenges faced and proposing technology</li></ul>
solutions to improve efficiency or accuracy<ul><li>Document current state processes identifying pain points, bottlenecks, inefficiencies and risks</li><li>Utilize strong root cause analysis (RCA) skills to identify system or process issues, providing actionable insights</li></ul>
and solutions to improve overall efficiency and accuracy in billing and claims processes
Process &amp; Technology Design:<ul><li>Support, and in some cases lead, the implementation of new processes, ensuring alignment between systems,</li></ul>
people and data<ul><li>Develop and document future-state process designs that align with business goals and best practices</li><li>When short-term technology solutions are needed, build out solutions using available resources such as Excel,</li></ul>
Power Automate and Power BI<ul><li>Create process documentation, lead education and spearhead communications for new process implementations</li><li>Facilitate process reviews and team retrospectives to capture lessons learned and continuously improve</li></ul>
execution<ul><li>Build reporting to capture key performance indicators to measure performance trends of new processes</li></ul>
Operational Excellence, Risk &amp; Change Management:<ul><li>Build and leverage strong operational relationships across departments to understand business challenges,</li></ul>
influence decision-making and drive the adoption of new processes and systems<ul><li>Identify operational risks and control gaps, and collaborate with operational teams to measure and mitigate risk</li><li>Serve as a champion for change, helping teams adopt new processes, technology and reporting tools</li><li>Facilitate education and feedback sessions to ensure cross-functional alignment, opportunities for feedback and</li></ul>
foster a culture of continuous improvement
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Operations Management or related field</li><li>
3+ years of experience in operations analysis, process improvement, or business consulting</li><li>
Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling</li><li>
Strong understanding of process mapping, Lean/Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies</li><li>
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills</li><li>
Experience in process documentation, requirements gathering, and workflow redesign</li><li>
Ability to balance hands-on data work with strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration</li></ul>
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
Experience with SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools</li><li>
Exposure to automation tools (Power Automate, Alteryx, etc.) or system integration projects</li><li>
Change management and stakeholder facilitation experience</li><li>
Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall)</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Visio and Power BI</li></ul>
