 The Execution Manager &ndash; General Cargo Operations
 
 is responsible for overseeing the effective management and coordination of General Cargo operations across all terminals within the group. This role ensures alignment with strategic objectives, operational consistency, and compliance with corporate standards. It includes optimizing operational efficiency, developing standardized processes, enhancing resource utilization, and fostering collaboration between terminals. The position supports business strategic planning, capacity terminals calculations, and the implementation of digital solutions, contributing to organization growth and operational excellence.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Develop, implement, and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for general cargo operations across terminals, ensuring compliance with best practices and international standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in the preparation and development of business cases for operational initiatives, including investments, expansions, or process improvements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct capacity calculations and feasibility studies to optimize terminal performance and resource utilization.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor and analyze operational data and KPIs from terminals, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
 </li>
 <li>
 Facilitate knowledge sharing and the implementation of best practices among terminals to drive continuous improvement.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with terminal teams to resolve operational challenges, enhancing service delivery and reducing costs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure compliance with corporate safety, environmental, and operational policies and international regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with IT teams for the implementation and optimization of digital tools for general cargo operations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Regularly review and update contingency plans to address operational risks and changes in market conditions.
 </li>
 </ul>

 Mentor, guide, and provide training to terminal teams to build capacity and encourage operational excellence.

 Conduct performance appraisals and identify development needs for staff across terminals.

 </li>
 <li>
 Work closely with terminal managers to ensure effective communication and coordination among teams.

 KNOWLEDGE &amp; SKILLS

 Bachelor's degree in general cargo operation, business administration, Ports/ Maritime Management or a related field.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong leadership and decision-making abilities with a track record of successfully managing and developing high-performing teams in multicultural environments, fostering inclusivity, and leveraging diverse perspectives.
 </li>
 <li>
 Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex international market data, cultural factors, and geopolitical trends, translating them into actionable insights and recommendations.
 </li>
 <li>
 In-depth knowledge of the international ports and logistics industry, global trade dynamics, market trends, cultural intelligence, and regulatory frameworks across various international markets.
 </li>
 <li>
 Advanced certifications in project management, logistics, or supply chain management are highly desirable.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Language Skills:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
 </li>
 <li>
 International communication and negotiations.

 </ul>
 
 Years of Experience:
 
 <ul>

 Minimum 10 - 12 years of experience in general cargo terminal operations or centralized support roles within the port and logistics industry.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven experience in managing Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Nature of Experience:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Extensive experience in managing or supporting general cargo operations across multiple locations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational excellence.
 </li>
 <li>
 Hands-on experience in coordinating between central offices and regional or terminal teams.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrated ability to handle complex projects and deliver operational and financial results.
 </li>

 </li>
 <li>
 Protect the public and property at incidents of fires, road accidents, floods, bomb incidents, spillages of dangerous substances, and rail and air crashes Rescuing trapped people and animals.
 </li>
 <li>
 Inspect and maintain the appliance (fire engine) and its equipment, assisting in the testing of fire hydrants and checking emergency water supplies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Undertake drills and physical training on techniques, use of equipment and related matters; maintaining the level of physical fitness necessary to carry out all the duties of a firefighter.
 </li>
 <li>
 Drive fire vehicles in a safe manner to any locations inside or outside the port in accordance with routine periodic maintenance and checks.

 Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Bachelor's degree in F ire Safety, Engineering, Science, HSE, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
 </li>
 <li>
 Firefighter Level II (at least 120 hours beyond Firefighter Level I) course including knowledge on fire, fire suppression and suppression systems, fire behavior, fire chemistry, fire rescue, firefighting equipment, fire appliance, safety, survival and hazmat operations, in accordance with NFPA 1081 (fulfilment of NFPA 1001 requirements shall be additionally beneficial)
 </li>
 <li>
 Certified Emergency Vehicle Operations (CEVO) &ndash; at least 16 hours in accordance with NFPA 1451 and 1002
 </li>
 <li>
 Hazmat operation level course (at least 24 hours) in accordance with NFPA 472, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120, or EPA 40 CFR Part 311
 </li>
 <li>
 First responder course (OPRC Level 1 &ndash; at least 40 hours) in accordance with IMO
 </li>
 <li>
 Driving license issued in UAE
 </li>
