Essential Duties:
Welding &amp; Repair<ul><li>
Perform TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding on aluminum castings</li><li>
Use appropriate filler materials and machine settings specific to aluminum welding</li><li>
Weld and repair surface defects, cracks, or porosity in castings</li><li>
Grind and smooth welds to meet required finish and quality standards</li><li>
Ensure weld integrity and appearance meet internal specifications</li></ul>
Equipment Fabrication &amp; Maintenance<ul><li>
Build custom equipment, frames, and supports for foundry operations</li><li>
Maintain welding tools and report equipment issues promptly</li></ul>
Rigging &amp; Setup<ul><li>
Use rigging equipment such as hoists, slings, and cranes to safely lift and position castings</li><li>
Set up castings in welding fixtures to ensure proper orientation, stability, and access</li></ul>
Surface Preparation<ul><li>
Clean and prep welding surfaces by drilling, grinding, and removing contaminants</li><li>
Safely operate welding machines, grinders, and saws</li></ul>
 Safety &amp; Compliance<ul><li>
Wear appropriate PPE: welding helmet, safety glasses, leather gloves, welding jacket, steel toe boots</li><li>
Adhere to safety procedures for welding in high-heat, metalworking environments</li><li>
Handle aluminum dust and fumes in compliance with health and environmental standards</li></ul>
Education and Experience:<ul><li>
High school diploma, GED or equivalent. (Required)</li><li>
Manufacturing experience. (Required)</li></ul>
