Adams State University seeks a video-focused Creative Services Manager to lead our digital content production efforts. This position primarily supports video production and content creation while providing assistance to our PR &amp; Marketing team by providing crucial oversight for the print shop, which is managed by student staff. The ideal candidate will have strong video production skills and experience creating engaging digital content for higher education or similar environments.<div>
Primary Responsibilities</div><div>
Video Production &amp; Content Creation</div><ul><li><div>
Lead video production initiatives in collaboration with the PR &amp; Marketing Team</div></li><li><div>
Partner with the PR &amp; Marketing Team to plan, shoot, and edit video content for university communications, social media, and promotional campaigns</div></li><li><div>
Operate professional video equipment including cameras, lighting, audio recording, and stabilization equipment</div></li><li><div>
Edit video content using industry-standard software for multiple platforms and formats</div></li><li><div>
Coordinate video shoots across campus, manage production schedules, and direct on-camera talent</div></li><li><div>
Create motion graphics, animations, and visual effects to enhance video content</div></li><li><div>
Maintain and organize video equipment inventory and digital asset libraries</div></li><li><div>
Stay current with video trends and emerging platforms to keep university content fresh and engaging</div></li><li><div>
Collaborate with Graphic Designer on projects that require both video and design elements</div></li><li><div>
Provide assistance to the Graphic Designer during high-volume periods and to meet rush deadlines</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Print Shop Operations Management</div><ul><li><div>
Supervise and train student staff in print shop operations and safety procedures</div></li><li><div>
Schedule student staff and ensure adequate coverage for daily operations</div></li><li><div>
Manage print job workflows, quality control, and customer service for campus departments</div></li><li><div>
Maintain printing equipment and coordinate with vendors for repairs and supplies</div></li><li><div>
Oversee inventory management and budget tracking for print materials</div></li><li><div>
Ensure compliance with university policies and safety standards</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Other duties as assigned to support the success of the department.</div><div></div><div>
Required Qualifications</div><ul><li><div>
Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Communications, Graphic Design or related field</div></li><li><div>
3 years of experience in video production and editing</div></li><li><div>
Proficiency in video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)</div></li><li><div>
Experience with motion graphics software (After Effects preferred)</div></li><li><div>
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop for image editing</div></li><li><div>
Demonstrated experience operating professional video equipment (cameras, lighting, audio)</div></li><li><div>
Strong project management and organizational skills</div></li><li><div>
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Preferred Qualifications</div><ul><li><div>
5 or more years of experience in video production and editing</div></li><li><div>
Advanced video production and post-production experience</div></li><li><div>
Experience in higher education marketing or communications</div></li><li><div>
Knowledge of live streaming and broadcast production</div></li><li><div>
Basic graphic design skills (Illustrator, InDesign knowledge a plus)</div></li><li><div>
Experience with color grading and audio post-production</div></li><li><div>
Familiarity with social media video optimization and platform-specific content creation</div></li><li><div>
Knowledge of print production processes and equipment</div></li><li><div>
Experience supervising staff or student workers preferred</div></li><li><div>

Work Environment</div><div>
This position operates in both office and production environments, including the campus print shop and various locations for video production. This position will be expected to work hours to capture appropriate content. This includes time outside a typical work-day of 8-5. There will be occasions when the videographer will need to travel to various locations across the San Luis Valley for content.</div><div></div><div>
Salary and Benefits:</div><div>
The salary range for this position is $46,476-52,872.
