POSITION TITLE: Level III Technician, Splicing
 
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:
ADB is a Nationwide full turnkey provider of technology infrastructure solutions including Wireline, Wireless, Technology, Critical Infrastructure, and Engineering. ADB is seeking a Level II Technician, Splicing, to perform advanced level splicing on a variety of underground, aerial, and ISP fiber splicing projects nationwide. The Level II Splicing Technician has expert-level technical knowledge, skills and experience to perform core splicing functions within the telecommunications industry, while also possessing soft skills to drive standards and leadership of others while onsite. The ideal candidate will be customer and quality centric, have a complete buy-in to safety, with a strong work ethic, and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Performs complex splicing projects for both new and existing customers with little to no direction</li>
<li>Independently troubleshoots customer networks and reads/processes test results to provide customer deliverables</li>
<li>Creates Smart Sheets and Excel trackers to accurately track project schedules and progress</li>
<li>Independently reads/interprets prints and create work assignments for other Technicians</li>
<li>Accurately collects all pertinent information from pre-job inspections and customer field meetings</li>
<li>Supports operational leadership with the management of on-site project elements such as time, materials, documentation, production updates, tool, and equipment</li>
<li>Professionally interacts with and communicate with external vendors, customers, subcontractors, and internal leadership to ensure accurate information is disseminated to all parties</li>
<li>Proactively identifies and escalates project and personnel issues to operational leadership where appropriate</li>
<li>Creates training plans and conduct training for other Technicians and serve as a leader in the field driving quality, efficiency, production, and safety</li>
<li>Serves as an ADB Culture Champion leading, driving, and participating in ADB culture pillar events</li>
<li>Utilizes expert-level splicing skills to identify, recommend, and implement process improvements across ADB&rsquo;s Splicing group</li>
<li>Possesses advanced understanding of all safety risks while working in a safety sensitive position, adhering to all safety requirements and standards</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned by leadership</li>

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
<ul>
<li>Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc.</li>
<li>May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsite</li>
<li>When working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed boots</li>
</ul>
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
<ul>
<li>3-7+ years of experience performing fiber optic cable splicing projects required</li>
<li>OSHA 30 certification (or ability to acquire within 6 months) required &bull; First-aid and/or CPR certifications required</li>
<li>Bucket truck certification required</li>
<li>Valid driver license with the ability to obtain a DOT medical card required</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li>
</ul>
The starting pay for this position is $28.00 and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
