The Role</b></p>

The Data Control Frameworks (DCF) team is a critical component of Addepar's Data Platform organization. We build the data quality infrastructure that ensures the integrity and reliability of financial data across Addepar's platform. Our team develops automated data quality checks, validation frameworks, and operational tools that empower both engineering teams and operations personnel to maintain the highest standards of data accuracy. We partner directly with customers and internal stakeholders to surface data quality issues early and enable rapid corrective action.</p>

What You'll Do</b></h4>
<ul><li>Design and build scalable data quality frameworks and validation systems that process financial data at enterprise scale and across diverse datasets</li>
<li>Own services end-to-end, from architecture and implementation through deployment and operational support</li>
<li>Build tools and interfaces that enable operations teams to efficiently identify, investigate, and resolve data issues</li>
<li>Design and deploy resilient, scalable cloud-native infrastructure on AWS using Terraform</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data engineers, and operations stakeholders to deliver high-impact features</li>
<li>Work with modern data processing technologies like pySpark and Databricks to build, validate, and monitor data pipelines</li>
<li>Contribute to the broader Data Platform vision of making data discoverable, trustworthy, and actionable across Addepar</li>
</ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Who You Are</b></h4>
<ul><li>Extensive professional software engineering experience</li>
<li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience</li>
<li>Strong proficiency in Java, Python, and/or a similar object oriented language with demonstrated ability to write high-quality, maintainable code</li>
<li>Experience with SQL and database systems (both relational databases like MySQL/PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems like DynamoDB)</li>
<li>Proven experience building and operating distributed systems and processing data at scale</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to explore complex problem spaces objectively from multiple perspectives</li>

The Role</b></h4>

A Data Migration Specialist is responsible for integrating clients' portfolio data into Addepar, and consulting clients on their most complex data challenges. As a Data Migration Specialist, you will be responsible for executing on client deliverables in addition to continuous internal tooling and process improvements to help scale our growing business.   The Role

 Portfolio Data Integration is part of the broader Addepar Platform team. The overall Addepar Platform provides a single source of truth &ldquo;data fabric&rdquo; used by the Addepar product set, including a centralized and self-describing repository (a.k.a Data Lake), a set of API-driven data services, an integration pipeline, analytics infrastructure, warehousing solutions, and operating tools. The team has responsibility for all data acquisition, conversion, cleansing, disambiguation, modeling, tooling and infrastructure related to the integration of client portfolio data.

 Addepar&rsquo;s core business relies on the ability to quickly and accurately ingest data from a variety of sources, including 3rd party data providers, custodial banks, data APIs, and even direct user input. Portfolio Data integrations and feeds are a highly critical cross-section of this set, allowing our users to get automatically updated and reconciled information on their latest holdings onto the platform.

 As a data engineer for this team, you will execute the development of new data integrations and maintenance of existing processes in order to expand and improve our data platform. You&rsquo;ll be adding automation and functionality to our distributed data pipelines by writing PySpark code and integrating it within our Databricks Data Lake. The team operates with an AI-augmented engineering workflow &mdash; LLM tools are integrated into code review, testing, and documentation as standard practice, not an experiment. As you gain more experience, you&rsquo;ll contribute to increasingly challenging engineering projects within our platform with the ultimate goal of dramatically increasing the throughput of data ingestion for Addepar. This is a crucial, highly visible role within the company. Your team is a big component of growing and serving Addepar&rsquo;s client base with minimal manual effort required from our clients or from our internal data operations team.
