Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children and individuals with disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum, to implement behavior intervention plans and support their development. This role requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support, utilizing various techniques to promote positive behavior changes.Duties<ul><li>Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed professional.</li><li>Provide direct support to children and individuals with disabilities, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior modification.</li><li>Monitor and document progress in accordance with treatment goals and objectives.</li><li>Engage in crisis management and intervention strategies as needed.</li><li>Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.</li><li>Maintain accurate medical documentation related to client progress and interventions.</li><li>Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in working with diverse populations.</li></ul>Experience Candidates should possess experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum. Preferred qualifications include:<ul><li>Background in Behavioral Health work or related fields.</li><li>Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies.</li><li>Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.</li></ul>Qualifications&middot; High school or equivalent (Required)&middot; Driver's License (Required)<ul><li>Pass a criminal background check and TB test (Required)</li><li>Personal vehicle with proof of auto insurance or another reliable means of transportation to drive to client&rsquo;s homes.</li><li>Availability of weekdays (Mon-Fri between 8am-8 pm)- Most of our cases are after School.</li><li>Eager, energetic, and passionate demeanor when working with individuals with exceptional needs.</li><li>Languages: Spanish (preferred, but not required)</li></ul>Duties<ul><li>Understand Autism and how to treat the deficits and behaviors associated with the diagnosis</li><li>Learn applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and procedures.</li><li>Learn directly from Board Certified Behavior Analysts how to implement ABA programs in the natural environment, such as the home, school, place of employment, and community.</li><li>Provide one-to-one ABA interventions (i.e., evidenced-based communication, play, and social skills) and parent training.</li><li>Implement treatment plans across multiple domains, including language, social, cognitive, executive functions, adaptive, and independent living, as well as pre-employment and vocational skills</li><li>Work with applications, games, and web-based technology via an iPad</li><li>Work with children in their homes, teaching communication skills, social skills, self-help skills, and play skills through Applied Behavior Analysis principles to help them reach their highest potential.</li><li>Learn directly from Board Certified Behavior Analysts how to provide therapy to children and family in need of support</li><li>Drive to clients homes where you&rsquo;ll follow and use the plans from Board Certified Behavior Analysts.</li><li>Always maintain confidentiality of all clients as well as professional conduct</li><li>Report clients&rsquo; progress and make recommendations to your BCBA clinical supervisor.</li><li>Participate in Adelante Behavioral Health ongoing trainings, including our Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training program.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of clients performance via electronic data collection, clinical notes, and graphs.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of your billable time.</li><li>Accurately record treatment data</li><li>Engage in and ensure client safety</li></ul>Physical DemandsUnder normal circumstances the employee will need to have the physical capacity to continuously use his/her hands for simple and firm grasping and fine manipulation. The employee may be required to do the following:<ul><li>Physically able to bend, stand, stoop, or sit for long periods of time</li><li>Lift and carry up to 35 lbs.</li><li>Push / Pull up to 50 lbs.
