 About the Role:
 
 
 
 
 A fast-growing healthcare technology company is looking for a
 
 Legal Counsel
 
 to drive its legal strategy and execution across jurisdictions (India &amp; US). This role will cover contracts, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk management. The candidate should be business-oriented, solution-driven, and comfortable managing both strategy and execution.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with hospitals, vendors, distributors, and partners (India + US)
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure compliance with healthcare, data protection (HIPAA, DPDP Act), and medical device regulations
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage corporate governance, secretarial responsibilities, and board policies
 </li>
 <li>
 Support legal due diligence for fundraising, partnerships, and transactions
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify risks, design internal controls, and implement compliance policies (data protection, whistleblower, code of conduct, etc.)
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide legal training and awareness to internal teams (sales, operations, customer success)
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Requirements:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 
 Experience:
 
 7&ndash;10 years of legal experience (healthcare, SaaS, technology, or startups preferred)
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Qualification:
 
 LLB or equivalent (LLM or CS is a plus)
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Skills:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Strong contract drafting &amp; negotiation skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of healthcare, IT, data protection, and cross-border compliance
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to simplify legal concepts for business teams
 </li>
 <li>
 Independent, proactive, solution-oriented, and adaptable to fast-paced environments
 </li>
 </ul>
