 </b><b>Job Summary:</b></p><p>
Works with customers and AR teams to identify unmet needs, collect design input and develop new product design strategies. Technical and laboratory lead in developing new polymers, robust products, and basic production processes that can be successfully commercialized.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Essential Functions:</b></p><ul><li>
Conducts required laboratory work; including polymerization, formulation, coating and testing</li><li>
Develops new products that lead to sustainable commercial revenue</li><li>
Functions as a technical lead on product development teams</li><li>
Develops design strategies based on robust design input</li><li>
Meets technical commitments in order to complete project progression dates and milestones</li><li>
Contributes to product scale up and development through reproducibility and validation testing support</li><li>
Detailed knowledge of required chemical and physical test methods</li><li>
May supervise and teach other laboratory staff</li><li>
Responsible for the proper disposal of hazardous waste into the proper labeled containers and drums</li><li>
Interfaces with customers on new product applications</li><li>
Interfaces with associates from other departments as needed (e.g. cross-functional teams)</li><li>
Documents lab work in electronic notebook and project reports</li><li>
Performs all duties consistent with established AR guidelines, ISO-9001, and elements of GMP deemed necessary to support the business (as outlined in the Quality Manual)</li><li>
Actively complies with and endorses Department and Company objectives</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>

 </b><b>Job Specifications:</b></p><ul><li>
BS, MS, or PhD in chemistry, polymer science or materials science; adhesive polymerization, formulation, and coating experience preferred</li><li>
Ability to perform duties with minimal or no supervision</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple priorities</li><li>
Requires an demonstrated ability to use sensitive test equipment</li><li>
Ability to employ statistical analysis techniques</li><li>
Ability to manage and supervise laboratory staff</li><li>
Ability to maintain confidentiality of AR information</li><li>
Must communicate fluently in English</li><li>
Excellent oral &amp; written communication skills</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal skills</li><li>
Knowledge of computers &amp; related word processing, spreadsheet &amp; e-mail software-Microsoft preferred</li></ul></div><p></p>
