The Reporting & Business Analytics Lead owns AdvanSix’s enterprise reporting and decision-intelligence layer across the organization. This leader turns governed data into trusted stories, KPIs, and self-service analytics, driving adoption, action, and measurable business outcomes.
 Responsibilities
 Strategy & product leadership
 <ul>
<li>Own the enterprise reporting strategy and roadmap aligned to business OKRs and the Enterprise Data Strategy.</li>
<li>Translate business goals into data products (semantic models, dashboards, scorecards) with explicit owners, SLAs, and adoption plans.</li>
<li>Define and maintain KPI canon and metric reconciliation rules with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Health/Safety/Environmental, and Commercial.</li>
</ul>
Delivery & portfolio management
 <ul>
<li>Run an agile delivery cadence (sprint planning, demos, releases) for analytics products and executive reporting.</li>
<li>Prioritize a transparent backlog balancing quick wins and foundational work (performance, quality, reusability).</li>
<li>Lead UAT, certification, and release management for reports/datasets.</li>
</ul>
Data storytelling & adoption
 <ul>
<li>Craft executive-ready narratives that connect insights to actions; enable leaders to “see, decide, act.”</li>
<li>Establish enablement for power/basic users; publish “How we measure” guides and KPI storyboards.</li>
<li>Track adoption and value: MAU, query volume, decision cycle time, realized impact (e.g., scrap, demurrage, energy).</li>
</ul>
Architecture & engineering partnership
 <ul>
<li>Co-design semantic models atop the Unified Data Layer and SAP DataSphere; enforce modeling standards, RLS, data contracts, and naming conventions.</li>
<li>Ensure BI assets avoid direct system scraping and use governed, certified datasets and APIs.</li>
</ul>
Vendor & team leadership
 <ul>
<li>Manage embedded vendor pods (direct Stefanini (Power BI developers) for dashboard development and Aavale (DataSphere modelers) for SAP semantic layer work); set SOW goals, DoD/acceptance criteria, and quality gates.</li>
<li>Build a small internal bench (BI architect/engineer) and mentor citizen developers under Power Platform CoE guardrails (DLP/ALM).</li>
</ul>
Governance & quality
 <ul>
<li>Partner with Data Governance & MDM to embed stewardship, lineage, data quality rules, KPI canon, and access controls.</li>
<li>Define performance SLAs, test coverage, and observability (refresh, latency, cost, failures) for BI/analytics.</li>
</ul>
Security, compliance & risk
 <ul>
<li>Enforce role-based access, RLS, and DLP policies; ensure PII/HSE data handling aligns with policy.</li>
<li>Coordinate with Cyber/IT on environment strategy, gateways, and change control.</li>
</ul>
Basic qualifications
 <ul>
<li>Minimum 8 years’ in enterprise BI/analytics with minimum 3 years’ leading cross-functional analytics programs.</li>
<li>Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or industry</li>
<li>Tool and Stack requirements: SAP S/4HANA data structures, SAP DataSphere, Microsoft Power BI, and SQL databases. Working fluency with the Microsoft Power Platform.</li>
<li>Experience leading vendors/managed services and negotiating outcome-based SOWs.</li>
<li>Demonstrated data storytelling—able to translate complex operations/financial topics into crisp, executive-level narratives.</li>
</ul>
Preferred qualifications
 <ul>
<li>Background in Finance analytics and commercial reporting</li>
<li>Lean/Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement background.</li>
<li>Familiarity with OT time-series patterns and TMS/WMS metrics.</li>
<li>Experience with semantic layer governance, data contracts, lineage tooling, and KPI catalogs.</li>
<li>Exposure to MLOps/feature stores (to align BI and ML features), and to RLS in mixed-model scenarios.</li>
</ul>
The expected base pay for this position is $130,700 - $196,100
 
We offer a range of market-competitive total rewards that include periodic pay rate adjustments based on market competitiveness. Certain roles may be eligible for discretionary financial benefits such as incentive pay, equity awards, and participation in a deferred compensation plan.

The final offer will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to, the responsibilities of the job, experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as the job location, applicability of a collective bargaining agreement, length of service, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
