Position Summary: The Senior Production Engineer is responsible for supporting plant operations in meeting daily KPIs by providing troubleshooting, rapid problem solving, and process improvements.
 
Duties and Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Monitor production in terms of quality, yield throughout cycle times, process parameters, and safety and environmental regulations</li>
<li>Complete work using the fundamentals of process simulation with simulation program(s)</li>
<li>Design a range of unit operations including reaction, distillation, refrigeration, fired heaters, and heat exchangers</li>
<li>Interact with the operating personnel and other departments to facilitate production, process trouble-shooting, and equipment maintenance</li>
<li>Provide integrations of manufacturing input for safety, quality, reliability, and operability into design</li>
<li>Perform process engineering calculations and comprehend PI&D drawings for the purposes of trouble-shooting and process modifications</li>
</ul>
Basic Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering</li>
<li>2+ years of experience in process, production, and/or manufacturing engineering</li>
<li>Experience in Petrochemical/chemical-based manufacturing such as ammonia, urea, methanol, etc. preferred</li>
</ul>
Additional Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Ability to be self-directed in managing multiple priorities</li>
<li>Experience with process simulation tools such as ASPEN, HTRI, and pipe hydraulics programs</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization and ability to work in a team environment</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office</li>
</ul>
The expected base pay for this position is Min $86,400, Max $129,600

Position Summary: The Chemical Operators work on a rotating shift team, focusing on field and control room chemical unit operations for safely running process systems and associated equipment during their shift.
 Typical duties of the operator role include but are not limited to the following: The Field Operator operates field equipment, draws process samples and prepares equipment for maintenance. The Control Room Operator monitors and operates equipment and facilities which includes combustion units, scrubbers, absorption towers, heat exchangers, and tanks via the Distributed Control System (DCS).
 
Summary of the Main Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Adhere to standard work and standard operating procedures to ensure unit safety, quality and production goals are met</li>
<li>Responsible to take and interpret readings on various equipment assessing any variation to standard troubleshooting and taking action to bring the process back to standard</li>
<li>Troubleshoot process issues and take corrective action to ensure a safe and sustainable operating area</li>
<li>Ability to handle and work with highly hazardous chemicals and the ability to wear and work in full body PPE (personal protective equipment)</li>
<li>Effectively communicating and escalating processes upsets and/or equipment issues within the organization</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent required</li>
<li>2 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, and/or chemical plant environment</li>
</ul>
Additional Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>1 year of Chemical Operations background/experience is strongly preferred</li>
<li>Ability to work on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule</li>
<li>Ability to work in a team environment</li>
<li>Ability to perform the physical labor associated with the job</li>
<li>Possess a strong work ethic and initiative to learn new processes</li>
<li>Ability to work at elevated heights - greater than 50 feet</li>
<li>Ability to work in confined spaces</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to deliver a safe workspace based on following standard work</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action within an industrial setting</li>
<li>Advanced troubleshooting skills</li>
<li>The ability to handle and work with highly hazardous chemical intermediates</li>
<li>Ability to wear and work in full body PPE (personal protective equipment) which includes acid suit (acid jacket & acid pants) – full face respirator and hood</li>
<li>Ability to load and unload bulk liquid chemical trucks and rail cars</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to communicate through multiple layers of an organization</li>
<li>Computer literate</li>

The hourly rate for this position is $26.14
