Job Summary --YEAR ROUND POSITIONS AVAILABLE 8-4pm Mon-Fri $14-16.00 Join our dynamic school environment as a School Custodian, where you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming facility for students, staff, and visitors. This energetic position involves performing comprehensive cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure the school&rsquo;s premises are always in top condition. Your dedication to facilities maintenance will help foster an optimal learning environment and promote health and safety standards across the campus.Duties<ul><li>Perform thorough cleaning of hallways, restrooms, offices, cafeterias, gyms, and other common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.</li><li>Conduct detailed floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain pristine surfaces.</li><li>Manage waste removal by emptying trash receptacles and recycling bins regularly to uphold cleanliness standards.</li><li>Maintain and operate janitorial cleaning tools efficiently and safely.</li><li>Carry out routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them promptly for resolution.</li><li>Assist with light maintenance tasks including general facilities upkeep such as pressure washing.</li><li>Support the overall appearance of the school by performing porter duties such as moving furniture or supplies as needed.</li><li>Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure environment for everyone on campus.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within commercial or institutional settings.</li><li>Strong knowledge of restroom cleaning and sanitation which is the primary focus.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Good physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, and bending.</li><li>Knowledge of safety procedures related to custodial work and facilities maintenance practices.</li><li>Positive attitude with a team-oriented approach to supporting school operations and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
