As a <b>Treatment/Wound Nurse</b> at Advanced Healthcare Solutions <b>,</b> you will be responsible for performing resident skin assessments, obtaining treatment orders, administering treatments as ordered, and documenting appropriately to help ensure that resident skin integrity is improved and/or maintained. Other duties and job details to be discussed at interview.</div>

The <b>Wound Care Nurse </b>duties at Advanced Healthcare Solutions include:</div>
<ul>
<li>Provides patient, family and staff education regarding prevention of pressure ulcers and therapeutic support services, dressing selection and adjunctive therapy.</li>
<li>Collaborates with clinical staff, physicians and other members of the treatment team to provide the patient with the highest quality and most appropriate wound care.</li>
<li>Acts as a resource for the treatment team and clinical staff and assists with staffing as assigned.</li>
<li>Trains and manages the Wound Care Team Members to include orientation, competency validation and in-service training.</li>
<li>Organizes and directs the interdisciplinary Wound Care Committee</li>
<li>Perform additional duties assigned.</li>
</ul>
<div><b>Minimum Qualifications:</b></div>
<ul>
<li>Projects a professional image.</li>
<li>Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.</li>
<li>Knowledge of wound care related products and procedures preferred.</li>
<li>Identification and utilization of industry evidence base standards related to wound care.</li>
<li>Knowledge of comprehensive wound management including wound assessment, formulation of treatment plan, recommendation of appropriate wound dressing, documentation, evaluation, education, data collection, surveillance and outcome data preferred.</li>
<li>Strong organizational and analytical skills.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions (Order entry, data input etc.)</li></ul><br>

<div><b>
Education and/or Experience:</b></div>
<ul>
<li>Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.</li>
<li>Active/Valid RN/LVN nursing license in the state of Texas. <b>(Required)</b></li>
<li>Minimum of (1) year of comprehensive wound management including wound assessment, formulation of treatment plan, recommendation of appropriate wound dressing, documentation, evaluation, education, data collection, surveillance and outcome data.</li>
<li>Knowledge of principals of infection control.</li>
</ul>
<div><b>Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:</b></div>
<ul>
<li>Current professional nursing license for the state of Texas.</li>
<li>Must maintain current BLS certification and CPR certification throughout employment.</li>
<li>Wound Care Nursing Certification and Wound Debridement Certification preferred.</li></ul><br>
